I feed my fish twice a day. I give super worm for my bigger fish and pellets to the smaller ones.

I have 13 aquariums set up and running so I feed them usually once a day but with two or three different kinds of food each feedings. I have about a dozen different kinds of food that I feed to my fish. I make sure to feed a good variety because no one food is complete and when fed more than one kind of foods what one lacks the other (s) will make up in. On the fish tanks that have fry in them I ill feed more often , often six or more times a day so that the young ones can get enough food but I will clean the bottom so that they will not be swimming in their own mess. This is a good idea to do even in a tank with older fish, a water change so that you can "flush the toilet".

It really depends on the type of fish that you have, as well as how many fish you have in the tank. Fish have different dietary needs, some are carnivores, some are herbivores, but most are omnivores. If you have "starter fish", meaning mostly what you find at fish stores, a good quality flake food along with occasional treats of frozen should be fine. Swordtail, plecos (suckermouth catfish), etc definately need a good quality veggiediet in order to stay healthy. The beautiful bettas need meaty diets, so no flakes for these guys please. As far as how often to feed, the more fish you have the more often you should feed in order to be sure everyone is getting their fair share. I feed twice a day, small amounts, just what they will eat in about 2 minutes. If you are having a lot of food floating down to the bottom, you are definately giving too much. If there is food floating on the top and the fish have no interst, you are giving too much. Personally, I skip a meal twice a week, so they are only fed once a day then. If you closely watch your fish for a couple of feedings, you will know how much they need. It is important to know, the easiest way to kill off all your fish is to have food rotting in the tank. Good luck!

Hello, we do have fishes at home too. my husband used to clean their tank. We have two tanks, one tank as their hospital tank as we use to segregate a fish which is sick and cure them. About the food we gave them, they usually eat flakes more than pellets. I don't know but we have tried a different variety of foods for the fishes here and yet they still look for their favorite flakes. We have blue gourami, a plecos, two mollies and 2 sharkies (catfish family). And they used to like flakes and dried worms as well as the live worms we use to buy in the pet fish shop.

You feed the twice a day, only a little sprinkle. They eat squid meal, prawn meal and stuff like that.
