Do you grow a vegetable garden, flower garden or a fruit garden? I am planning on starting a vegetable garden this year. I want to grow tomatoes, peppers, broccoli and I am not sure yet what else. Its getting to be that time of year to plan for a garden. So I guess I will have to get my shovel out and start turning over the soil. How about you are you starting a garden this year?

We are planing on expanding the vegie garden for more potatoes. We will increase about 1/4 more. We can't plant until June around here, we have killing frost up until then.

I would like to grow potatoes. Isnt it true that you can just cut a potato in half and plant it and it will grow potatoes?

If you want a lot of potatoes it's best to get seed potatoes. You can grow from a store brought, just make sure you cut so you have a eye showing, that's where the sprout and new plant will come from

hello moneymommy i want to grow tomatoes and some other kind of veggie this summer. i like squash lots and i also like cooking different things with peppers. green bell peppers that is. what kind of peppers were you referring to in your discussion? thanks. other than squash i cannot think of anything else that i would not get tired of during the plants growing season, as in the plant producing it's fruit. i like broccoli but in my opinion of growing broccoli like that, cannot see it happening. lol the next time that i go into the Dollar General store i am going to check out their veggie seeds and see what that i want to put in my very small garden this year. and i will have to get out my shovel and my garden gloves. lol take care and have a beautiful evening.

I am going to grow some hot peppers. They are easy to grow and produce alot of peppers.

the OTHER roommate, not the blind one, wants to try and start a garden - but since I'm allergic to outside, I won't be doing it

You have given me the perfect idea on what I am going to do today!..We are going to buy a house again after condo living for a number of years. I miss my garden!..I think I will spend the day looking at sites and getting ideas..I will have flowers everywhere as well as a vegetable garden patch. NOt sure what I want to grow yet. Its hard to think about it when the ground is still covered in snow but the sun is shining brightly today and you have given me the idea. I think too I will grow tomatoes, peppers, and I may try broccoli too as well as carrots and a few potatoes. Potatoes take up so much room but are fun to grow..I love digging them up to see whats under them.. Thanks for the idea and happy planting!
