When I saw all the hype on tv about it I thought it was more of a "younger crowd" movie so didn't bother to go and see it. While looking for a book to take on my train trip I saw it and not seeing anything else that interested me I bought it since I love anything that has to do with vampires. I finished the book before my trip was over because it was so good I couldn't put it down. My daughter showed me an internet site where you can watch the newest movies online for free without downloading them so I watched it last night and loved it. Now I'm anxious to get the second book in the series to read on my way home!Did you see the movie or read the book? What did you think?

I haven't seen the movie yet but I like to read books before movies - especially long books. There are always little things that are either left out or changed in movies, and I've also learned that director and screenwriter imaginations are sometimes going in a much different direction than YOURS LOL! I'm fairly sure I'm still going to love the movie, and I'm resisting the urge to find more clips online, I could but I'll go see it soon. Do you have a friend you could borrow the book from?

I'm sure the book is in libraries now and the way things are today I think that's the best way to go. Better to get it free than have to pay for it.

I think the movie left out a lot that the book had to say. I'm just happy to have faces to put on the characters while I read the second one.

I've read the book, haven't seen the movie yet. I love the book. LOVE LOVE LOVE the book. I just started reading the third book (Eclipse). Like you, I was kind of oblivious to the hype and I read the book because my sister gave it to me as a gift. I thought the whole thing was more of a 'younger crowd' thing, I talked to my daughter about it too (she's 19) and she claims she doesn't read 'vampire books' but I think that she actually did read all these books, I remember seeing the covers a couple years ago lol. May have been her friend's books too, never know. Anyway, I was wrong. I haven't read something so fascinating in a long time, and now I know why I hear people talking about 'Bella and Edward'

I haven't seen the movie yet, though i certainly would like too. I started to read the book. Though I'm not very far in it, I'm certainly enjoying it a great deal. I've honestly heard mixed reviews about it. I've heard people, who enjoyed the movie; others who didn't.

Yesterday I bought New Moon, the second book in the series. I'm waiting until I leave CA to go back home but it's soooo big I'm thinking I can start it now and still have lots to read within 3 days! I can't wait to read it!

The book was good. I watched some little snippets of the movie online, and while Robert Pattison (or whatever his name) is totally hot (in a weird unconventional way), I just don't like Kristen Stewart, and I'm not sure why, but I don't. I liked the book better. It was way more interesting (in my opinion) and it leaves more room for imagination.

Personally, I couldn't see WHAT they see in Robert Pattison. Maybe it's my age but there are a lot better looking young guys out there!

I saw the movie first...and then I fell in love with Edward Cullen! So I decided to read the book. Good thing I bought the whole collection since once you start, you can't stop reading the next one. :)

I have just rented and viewed the movie. It has sparked an interest in the books. But with a 6 month old baby and a daughter about to enter 1st grade, I'll be hard pressed to find the time for the series.

I watched the movie on the big screen. I noticed a lot of teenagers that time and I heard lots and lots of screaming that time. It’s because of the actors and actresses. I like the story, it’s just that I don’t like how it being acted.
