I know many who skip classes and school intentionally to go out somewhere or just to stay back at home without knowing to their parents by telling a lie. I haven't done anything like that during the time i was going to school. Have you done something like that ?

I did that only when the subject that I didn't like or the teacher. I was a good student and always had a good attendant. However, I was a master of the class so I couldn't really skip class at all.

I've skipped classes before and I really don't see what the big deal is. I'm in college however and understandable, skipping classes while in college is a completely different ball game. I skipped school while I was in public school. I either faked sick or just, didn't go to school but the people I lived with knew about it. They allowed it. Now, I make my own choices about skipping classes.

Idid not skip school at all without my parents giving me permission until I moved in the middle of my Junior year of high school. Even then, I knew that all I had to do was talk to my Mom and if I really did no want to go, she would call me off of school. I always kept my grades up, so she never worried about that. I only started skipping without her knowing because my friendds did it and I was the new kid in town and felt that I had to do it just to fit in.

I could not have skipped classes in school as ours was a residential school. In college I do skip some days when we don't have lab practicals or any important theory classes but I don't need to lie to my parents cause they do allow me to go out according to my wish just that I have to return back at a given time. That's all as I have worked hard to gain this trust from my parents.

I didn't skip school until I got into college. Then it was so easy because professors don't (usually) take attendance and don't care if you show up or not. When it was cold or snowing outside or if I stayed up too late the night before, it was so much easier to just stay in bed. Or if it was warm outside it was more fun to go to the lake. I regret it to an extent. Some of the classes I skipped out on were no big deal, I still got A's or B's in them but some of the classes I skipped, I should have gone to because I couldn't keep up. If I had gone to those classes, I'd have gotten higher grades overall.

hi minfas! No, I haven't really skip classes and school intentionally just to gout somewhere or to stay home and then lying all about it to my parents. Even if I am sick, I still attend my classes because I never like missing out on lessons. I don't like being absent in class. There is only one instance that I didn't attend class for the whole day but my mother knew why but gave another reason to my teachers why I was absent that day. My mother knew the whole truth as I was really nursing a broken heart that time! lol.. But I am really embarrassed to tell the truth to my teachers so I just submitted an excuse slip to the Dean stating that I got stomach trouble that day so that I will be excused. lol.. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith

Hi minfas, School days are the best and they should be going to school instead of staying at home doing nothing or going out and about, I don't know how old they are but in our country, parent goes to jail if the kids stay off school for no good reason and if they are caught, there are police out and about and if they catch kids hanging around they catch them and take back to school or back to their parents, thats where the parents would be in serious trouble. Hi minfas, In the UK, mothers have served jail sentences because their child had not gone to school, its terrible as the parents gets a record for life just because the kids don't wnat to go to school and wants to play around, I think the kids hould get jail instead. Tamara

When I was in highschool..yes I did skip classes. My friend got to drive her mom's car to school and sometimes we would skip class and go to the mall or just riding around. My grades suffered for it to but when I was that age it didn't seem important to me.

I used to skip ALL THE TIME in high school, that I got in trouble for it twice and had to go to COURT for it once, too. It was not a good experience to go through - and although I only had to do some community service, I wish I would have been smarter about choosing how many days a week I could skip. I had a lot of friends who were in college and a lot of friends who just didn't go to school anymore, and I don't know how I rationalized this - but I figured hanging out with them was more important than getting my own education. I graduated high school with a 3.2 GPA (B+ average) and everything, and didn't have any trouble getting credits because of skipping - but I know my grades would have been better if I had actually attended & participated more.

I did skip classes when I was in high school. back then in my school a lot of students skip classes. It had to do with the atmosphere of the school. the worst cases skip one-third of classes. I am not a bad case, I just did it once in a while.
