Have you ever received something that you feel you don't deserve?

I mean, I'm usually honest enough with myself to know whether I deserve to receive something or not - an award, a pat on the back, a smile from a friend - and when I do feel that I don't deserve something, I usually couldn't properly enjoy whatever it is I receive. At times, it even makes me feel guilty, knowing that maybe somebody deserves that thing more than I do. But then, I feel that it would be more impolite to not accept what is being given to me since that would mean questioning the judgment of the people who decided to give me that thing.
How about you guys? Have you experienced feeling this way - not being able to savor a victory because you feel you don't deserve it? Or do you just brush things off and chalk it up to good luck? Please do share your experiences.

Hi there!
To be honest, there are some things, some blessings that I got that I feel like I don't deserve them. One of these would be some really high grades from school that I feel like I didn't worked hard enough for.
I am thankful of them though and I take it as an inspiration to really work hard.

Hi there. I can very much relate with the high grades thing. I guess luck really did play a huge part in that, on my case. Thanks for sharing.

Well I'll be honest with you ..I was in this institute where they used to test our skills and once i received an award for being a perfect student and being he best among my batch which was so uncalled for..I never expected it and i didn't deserve it either because i knew there were people better than me who had scored better than me in all other tests..Other than this i think i get a little less from life than expected

Hi there. Thanks for sharing your experience. I guess getting a little less from life than what we expect is a more common experience than receiving something you feel you do not deserve. I believe being able to handle both situations well is definitely a characteristic of a mature person.
