How was your Valentine's Day? What did you do?

I had to work, so it started out with work. But my husband brought me to a restaurant that we hadn't been to in 6 years. He had roast beef with mushroom gravy, french fries, and macaroni salad. I had philladelphia cheese steak with onions and green peppers plus cole slaw and potato salad. For dessert, he had strawberry shortcake and I had rice puddling. I gave him a card saying I will love him forever (we have 10 years toward forever). I also gave him a massage video I got off ebay. Yesterday, I saw sooo many men buying flowers. It was cute. Share yours please, if you want to. I love hearing people's Valentine day stories. Also gives me ideas about next year.

This year's celebration of Valentine's Day is a diffierent but maybe one of my most memorable even in years to come. We celebrated the 70th birthday of my father and our realtives were there to grace the occassion. what makes this year's celebration different is that because of my father's different health condition. He is literally in bed as he is totally paralyzed and he has been in bed for two years now.

I'm glad you were all able to celebrate his birthday with him. I'm sorry about his condition. That has to be very difficult for all concerned, esp. him and anyone who takes care of him. I hope everything went well. Thank you very much for your response and take care

Hi,dear writersedge, My Valentine's Day is just as normal as I did in my previous years ,I just at my home read some books and then go out to buy some chocolate for myself as well as my partents and my beloved brother as poor molly do not have boy friend hehe, also a kind of happiness to have the Valentine's day with my family..hehe .I remember last year one of my best female friend (she is now in beijing to have her volunteer work)gave me one box of chocolate and I gave her a bouch of folower since both of us do not have boy friend ~~~even though this seems just normal, meant a lot to me ,for molly is easily to be satisfied ,...haha ~~~~ Next year my big exam will be end ,if possible molly want to find a boy friend hehe ~~~~~I will let you know if something different happen next year ..haha

Wasn't a very good day, didn't get a Valentine, hubby don't look like he is feeling well. Think he is coming down with something. He has never been one to go and shop for presents. He says I have the money, buy me whatever I want, still it would be good he just brought home one rose even a silk one.

Sounds like my father when he was alive. My husband can't say I have the money, so he can't get out of it that way. Even a card would be nice. I hope he feels better soon. Shopping when you don't feel well isn't any fun. Thanks and take care.

My Valentine's Day! I originally planned to help sell flowers for a friend in some open space, it had to be cancelled due to bad weather around here. Therefore I ended up staying home and worked a bit on my blog and wrote something for my website!

I recieved my gifts before Valentine's day. I was given a bamboo plant and a handmade card. Today however, I mostly spent my time cleaning. I also worked on some school projects. Today has essentially been just another day of the week really. I've had to wash clothes and other things so it really was spent doing all the things that I needed to do for this coming week.

Nothing...nowhere near, as wonderful as yours...OR I shouldn't say that, have a new wonderful friend on myLot, that give me a "best response" (took her time on Valentine's Day) to do that...and then gave me the gift of wonderful links to Aloe Vera sites! My gifts were just as nice, but I didn't share them with anyone special, other than my "furry friends!" And my dinner, a big portion of a Spaghettie Squash and Lemon Sole!

I didn't really spend Valentine's Day in any big way. I'd rather not rush with everyone else and pay pricey dollars for dinners in a romantic setting. I'll probably wait a week before I have a romantic meal with my wife. She prefers it this way. I did something different from most people. I designed a Valentine's Card for mylotters and posted it here http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1908022.aspx. Take a look at it...it is meant for all, including you... see if you like it. Happy Valentine's Day.

It's a poem, like it! Thank you very much. I do similar when it comes to new movies. What I do is wait until few people are going to see it, I enjoy it better. Different strokes for different folks. thanks and take care.

Your Valentine's Dy sounds like a really great one. And your meals sound just delicious! We started out the day by opening our cards to each other, then working out (I got on the treadmill). Then, I showered and worked on class preparation for about 3 hours. Then, our son and his girlfriend came over and we went out to lunch at Olive Garden. We had a great lunch. Then, we came back home and hung out for about 45 minutes before they left. Then, my husband and I just had a very nice, relaxing evening at home. We watched a Netflix, so that was fun.

My hubby chose to work an early shift of 4 hours double time OT ... nice $$$ indeed :) Hubby & I have been together for 30 years. We verbally expressed our love for each other while also exchanging a "Happy Valentine's Day" wish. Afterward, we sent our 2 kiddos to spend the night with our oldest daughter. So, hubby and I then spent a nice evening of dinner (Outback carry-out) together and watched HBO & Starz movies. We had fun!!

I'm glad you had a great day on Valentines day... My day is ok. though I wish my bf should've made an effort to call.He just texted when I texted and greeted him "happy valentines day." It hurts a lot but yeah I just let it pass... although I spent the day accompanying my mom and bro to the mall. I'm happy they had enjoyed the day browsing around and buying some stuff they like lol... I just wish my bf did something nice that day though instead of saying "am workin." sigh...
