Drink plenty of fluids!chicken soup for example. What works best with me is a tumbler of warm milk with pepper, turmeric powder and honey mixed properly.Inhaling water vapour helps clear nasal congestion. Also try to get enough sleep. Get well soon!

Colds only last a few days so you are probably over the worst of it. Try a drink with lemon, garlic and cayenne pepper, mix with hot water and drink it as hot as you can. You will sweat the cold out of you. Ideally, wrap yourself up warmly as well and get some sleep!! Hot chicken soup is good too.Be well my friend.

There really is no cure for the common cold, but I found that lots of clear liquids, like filtered/bottled water, vitamin C and zinc lozenge (like coldeeze) really helps. If you feel like your nasal passages are clogging, try boiling some hot water, close the drain in the sink and pour the boiling hot water in the sink. Cover your head with a towel and breathe the steam in through your nose.... doing this will open up your nasal passages, and help you add moisture to your sinuses (which will help prevent sinus infections) Green tea, or echinacea tea are also great to help boost your immune system (like zinc does)add honey for sore throats. Stay away from fast foods, processed sugars, get plenty of rest and you'll see your body quickly knocking the cold from your system.

You have answered your own question. You need to rest. Tut tut. Otherwise, try echinacea, a herbal product that can kick start your immune system. Take long warm baths. Eat light meals, and drink a lot of water. Try paracetamol 4 times per day to help you with any aches, unless you can't take paracetamol for any reason (liver problems, sensitivity). If you have other health questions have a look at www.nurseadvice.webs.com

People are saying to get some rest. I agree there but also you need to keep moving around to circulate blood in the body. I find walking is quiet good. Couple of times, I go for a walk for 3 to 4 hours may be even 5 hours. I take water as well to drink on the way. Normally if I have a cold, it only last for a day or two because of all the walking I do. Walking is also low impact but a good exercise to get blood circulating.

Adequate rest, drink water and more fruit juices, and yes medicine. I dont think medicine will be effective if you dont take a rest though. A little bit of sunshine at morning will help too.

Do you have some Oregano in your spice rack? Try making some tea out of the oregano. If you have a cough too, you can try sage or thyme. For oregano, try 1 teaspoon in a cup of hot water. For sage try 4 tablespoons in a cup of hot water. Both are for dried herbs. Make sure they steep for at a minumum of 10 minutes. Don't drink more than 3 cups of the sage tea a day. Lots and lots of vitamin C. It is easier to get rid of a cold at the very first small signs of it, but try some of the spice rack teas I mentioned to help speed them along. Rest is probaby the number one thing you need. I know easier said than done. I hope you feel better soon!

get some rest and eat well. and drink lots of fluids and water. they say water therapy. and also take vitamin c, double its dose. anyway, the excess vitamin c will just be eliminated through urine so no need to worry of overdose. and also eat fruits that have rich in vitamin c like kiwi, guava, orange, etc. hope u was able to help u and get well soon.

Hot lemon and honey works well, but mainly you do need to keep warm and rest.
