My dog needs a haircut how often to you have your dog groomed?

hello moneymommy i am sure that your dog will feel better when that you take him to get him groomed. i groom Doughnut myself. she has shorter fur and she is pretty easy to keep groomed up. i trim any fur that gets on the bottom of her feet with some small sharp scissors that i have and what fur that i cannot get with the scissors i take the electric razor to her to get the rest of it. other than than i trim her whiskers with the scissors and at least twice a year i take her to get her toenails trimmed, i have one of those dog nail trimmers to use on her, but i just cannot stand trying to cut her nails like that, i do not want to hurt her feet. i would like to have one of those new products for dogs nails, i think the name of the new product is pedipaws, or something like that. it looks like it would be an awesome product to have and it looks easy to use. take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

I currently have 2 cats but i did previously have a wonderful black schnauzer called Spud. i used to cut his coat once a year. i did it myself. he loved it!

I have short haired Chihuahuas so not grooming is necessary. However when I had my Yorkie and my Maltese I nearly went broke as the groomers where I live are very expensive.

not as often as i should. i have tried cutting her hair but had no luck so i have to take her to a groomer & it's expensive. i probably take her every 3 months or so.

I have four dogs. Two of them do not really get groomed. They get a bath every now and then (about once a month or so). The other two go to a groomer every three months. And in between that I brush them sometimes bath them and do their teeth. They would not look good with short hair so they just get a trim.
