Hi :) hope everyone is having a great day :) My gf lives in the philippines and I am trying to go visit her, but Im looking for a cheap way to get there. Flying is the best option, but it is a little expensive at some sites, does anyone know any sites that have cheap flights to Manila? Or any other relatively inexpensive way of getting to Manila. Im only 18 so I could travel by myself, but my parents would never let me do that, so one or both of them would be going with me as well, but if anyone knows any website to find cheap airfare I would greatly appreciate that.

hi alex18, from which country are you flying from? i am from the philippines and i just moved to join my husband here in Netherlands. my husband visited me twice in the philippines on the year 2007 and 2008. he booked tickets online and booked it ahead of time to get some promotional fares and he said it is cheaper. i do not know if your from the US but with going to europe there are many airlines. some cheaper airlines are malaysian, qatar, and singapore airlines.

You could fly from a gateway city. Would New York or Los Angeles be closer to you? If you flew from Los Angeles to Hong Kong you might be able to get a cheap flight onto Manila. It might be much more expensive to fly straight to Manila. The Philippines is a group of islands so it is not like the is an overland route. If you see a cheap flight to Malaysia that would be quite a good option, Hong Kong would still be the best gateway for you. I suggest you look at Cheap Flights Com on the Internet. Then you could see the cheapest fare to Hong Kong then have a look at pages on budget airlines operating in Asia. Good luck.

Better book online and do it in advance to avail of discounts. If you wish to have connecting flights, better check for the two of the philippine's airlines: Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines. Their websites are http://cebupacificair.com and http:philippineairlines.com. enjoy your stay in the Philippines.

wow! this is good. I wanna know about this too cuz my bf wanted me to search for cheaper flights to get here in manila. he's from US too... so I'm kinda at a lost where I can find them.although I tried searching through the internet but I still think the ones I've seen seemed pretty expensive T_T. Can there be like a good package deal for a week with hotel to stay? thanks so much for posting this. Good ideas might get posted about this... ^_^
