Writing is also a Battle

Hi all, realize a profound truth from a disasterous piece of work. Writing is also a battle, especially if you write at Helium. Yesterday I posted a piece of creative article. That article was meant to scold my ex-CEO who bankrupted the company. So I did not really care about rating or whatever. I had a very happy time writing it. Made him worth less than a tea lady. I could have scold him forever. That was my first job. Less than a year into the job, he made us all jobless. Then I posted it under Humor: Work. I didn't bother to check how many articles already in this title. There were 186 articles, and my little scolding piece of work made up 187. Took it forever to move up the rank to 35. Fortunately creative writing don't really count in Helium. Otherwise, got to "fight" against all 186 writers. So writing is really a battle. If I can't win the top 25%, then I will tuck my tail between the legs and run away. Else Helium will take away my stars!

Personally for me, the stories I have been hearing about Helium lately is part of the reason I have not been active there in a long time. Since I am from the USA I have been submitting some of my stuff from time to time on Associated Content, and a couple of other sites, and have thought about checking out Gather a little more as well. All I can say, is you might try posting almost the same exact stuff somewhere else and see what type of hits it would get there, etc. Wishing you the Best.

Well, I'm not from USA. No upfront money for submitting to AC. Plus AC takes a long, long time to vet my articles. Even though FAQ promises 2 days to process articles. AC really takes a long time doing so. Guess they put my articles into the slow cooker. Anyway, I post at both sites to reach wider audience.
