As many of you know who have been following my discussions, last Friday the 13th was our 10 yr. Wedding anniversary so we went out of Town for the weekend, and had a wonderful time. It was really nice to get away for a change, and just enjoy life without no other things to think about as well. We went to Red Lobster Friday night and had a wonderful dinner of Steak and Lobster, and just sat and enujoyed each others company. They we went back to the Hotel and sat and watched TV and relaxed until we both ended up falling asleep. Then on Saturday the 14th we went and drove to one of the Bigger malls in the Portland area and walked around and did some shopping, grabbed lunch and had a wonderful time. After that we went back to the Hotel before heading out to get something to eat, and then just walked one of the other malls before heading back to the Hotel for a wonderful night alone. On Sunday we went and visited one of our Friends from Church son's church after checking out of the Hotel, and then got a quick bite to eat and then started on our journey home. We stopped at the Outlet Mall on the way home and did a little bit of shopping, and then went to an All you can eat Chinese place for lunch and then came home. I was tired so I went in and took a nap, and then got up, ate a little bit of something for dinner and then got on the Computer posting here in myLot, checking Email, etc. It was nice to be away, and now nice to be home. I have today off still as Sunday and Monday is my day off, but I plan to be online posting here in myLot, checking Email, etc. and relaxing. Have to get ready for another work week as well. So what did you do, and did you share it with your someone special as well? ~~TINA~~

hello krausehome! what a nice way of celebrating valentines. We just had a simple valentine. We attended a Wedding on the 14th. and after the reception, we just went home and enjoyed a cake, watch a movie. That's it. what's important is that we are together that day. take care

To go to a Wedding and watch 2 people be able to start their lives together on Valentines day is Good. We got married on a Saturday otherwise we would have been married on Valentine's as well, but being able to spend the day together is one of the best things you can do for sure.

Ours was basically a regular weekend, although we did spend a bit of time together. it's tricky because we work such odd schedules. We'll do something nicer next week or something.

Hi Tina! I'm so happy that you had such a wonderful weekend away! It sounds like you had a great time! It is always nice to get away even if it is only for a few days! My boyfriend and I stayed home this weekend. We didn't do anything special. I made him a nice dinner like I had promised him. I wasn't feeling too well, but I cooked anyway. I made him chicken cutlets and spaghetti which is one of his favorites and baked him his favorite kind of cake too! Then I rested all day yesterday. He had to work today so he rested yesterday too.

Glad to hear you had a great Valentines Day. Mine was very quiet and I stayed in and kept warm. I have a terrible head cold and I really don't feel great. Last night my brother in law asked us to go out for Chinese food supper at the restaurant so that was a huge treat for me because I didn't really feel like cooking although I would have done it. The meal was a buffet style and they had rice, prawns, mixed greens, chicken balls, egg rolls, dry garlic ribs and of course soup and salad. It was 10.95 a plate. It really was a treat for us. Have a Great Day my friend.

It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was good too, but also very tiring. Friday morning my husband and I headed to Buffal to watch my son in a wrestling tournament. It was suppose to start at 3, didn't start until 4:30. Sitting on bleachers for all that time didn't help much. We were very proud watching my son win both of his matches on Friday. By the time we were done Friday night, we headed to the hotel and ordered in pizza. We had brought champagne to celebrate valentines day. We had some champagne with our pizza:) The next morning we were up early and headed to the school again for round two of the wrestling matches. My son pinned his guy in the first match which was good because he was behind in points. Then he lost his last match. He ended up taking 2nd for the tournament which means he is elegible to go next week and try out for state qualifiers. A very exciting achievement. We headed home around 6 and decided to try and stop for a nice meal on the way home. The problem ~ it was valentines day and every restaurant had an hour wait!! I ended up celebrating valentines day with 2 of my favorite guys~ my husband and my son. We ate at KFC/Taco Bell. Sunday I spent the day with my daughter. She had a prayer partner lunch at church and then we went for groceries. WE met up with my older son and he told me he is proposing to his girlfriend . He showed me the ring~ beautiful! Of course, I teared up:) Tonight is my sons girlfriends birthday and he is proposing before the party. Should be an exciting evening.

Every year, my wife and I will go out and celebrate Valentine's Day and have a nice meal together at a restaurant. But we don't like paying the high prices that VD meals usually cost, so we will celebrate a week earlier or later. This year is no different, and we will go out celebrating this weekend. Still I did go out eating in a restaurant with my family and also my wife's family, because their son who is studying in Melbourne came back for a holiday, and so we went out and had a meal together. I did make a special VD card for my wife and presented it to her, and she absolutely loved it. Did you know that I also made a VD card for you and all mylotters? I posted it here http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1908022.aspx but unfortunately, not many people saw it. Take a look and see if you like it. Happy Belated Valentine's Day to you and your loved ones.

Yes, I have a wonderful Valentine. Because I am able to spend it with my kids. My husband works abroad. So It is only me and my kids who celebrated it. It is good since I made my children.

Hi Krause, so nice to know you had a wonderful Valentine's day with your hubby. May you have many many more to come. On this Valentine's Day we had our family reunion as one of hubby's nephews, who lives on the other side of the globe, had visited us. We threw a party in his honour and really enjoyed the evening. I dearly love this nephew and he's very much attached to me. So what else could we have asked from Almighty.

Wow! It is good to hear you have such a nice weekend. I also do have a nice one. Though I didn't spend it with someone special it is still indeed a great one. I've spend the weekend with my family. We went to the mall as we always do. Then I chat with my cousin using Skype and respond to some discussions here in MyLot. It was a great weekend. No stress and pretty a relaxing one. Have a great week!!
