We all eat food to live and get energy to do work. But is it necessary to be a good cook if we are a woman. I think it is not right. it is not depends on man or woman. it is depends on interest or talent. Many men also being a good cook like Sanjeev Kapoor. Am i right?

Cooking is done with Passion. Even if you don't know not much cooking, as long as you like what you do and you prepare it with love, it will taste okey. I am a good cook and my husband is a good cook too. I don't have a problem preparing foods to eat. We do share recipes and prepare foods specially when it is his off day. I don't know Sanjeev Kapoor is, but i know that there are more chefs than female chefs nowadays.

I agree with you the love and passion that you put into your cooking is the first step in your recipe to a good meal.

Cooking is an art.Does not matter whether the artist is a man or woman. But then all are not good in all the arts.So some women are not really very good cook. But one should know basic cooking like boiling eggs and making sandwhiches so that they can survive without depending on anyone. And its said men are better cooks.

boiling an egg or making a sandwich is not cooking that's just grabbing something to keep yourself alive. cooking is a pot roast, with mac n cheese, collard greens, candid yams, corn bread now thats cooking

I think that EVERYONE should be able to cook, regardless of gender.

I agree with you, it is not right that women are expected to be good cooks ! I love to cook but Im not the best. I can make anything that i have a recipe for but when it comes to creating something on my own...forget it ! I have a brother that can throw anything in a pot and simmer it for a bit and it comes out great. My sisters can do that too, but not me :-(

The important is you know how to cook healthy food for your family. Is not that necessary that you are a good cook but it would be nice if you learn to cook nice foods for you hubby and kids for their dinner and snacks at school, i do agree that some men are good cook too like my hubby well because he studied catering. happy posting.

I agree with that it is not necessary for a woman to be a good cooker .I like cooking trial .I will feel good if someone try my new food .I am also gratituded to him for his honest advice .If you are interested to cook ,you would do it with pleasure .There is no gender .Both man and woman can be good cook .If couples and lovers both have interest to cook ,they will get on well with each other .

Well, I don't think it's absolutely necessary to be a "good" cook. As long as you can cook at least a bit (something you can eat) I think you can manage to survive. You can also buy food, have someone else cook for you, eat out, and stuff like that. Some women do live live that, although it might be hard at times.

I dont think it should depend on the gender. I think both men and women should be able to cook. My fiance can barely cook some stuff but i am glad he can cook something instead of nothing at all. I am not the best cook either. I mainly rely on recipes to help me cook, but i do cook.

Well I think everyone should know how to cook. Doesn'T matter if your good or not just know how to cook. My husband is a better cook then me and he used to cook all the time for me. Now that hes sick and cant enjoy cooking anymore. I have been doing all the cooking and I am pretty darn good at it to.

I feel you are right you don't have to be women to be a good cook but when your the care giver especially to your children you want to serve them good healthy food. I have three sons and I taught them to cook so they wouldn't have to rely on a women to serve them a good meal or run home for one. My man can cook but I like cooking I take pride in my cooking like I do anything else. My mom can't cook she tries but with no success its not that she isn't interest because she tries but it is always nasty I've showed her how, given recipes to her but she just can't cooked.

Gender hardly matter when it comes to cooking. A lot of chefs and restaurant cooks are men. All that matters is WHO is good at it--period.
