I know some people that would rather text,IM or email then talk to a person on the phone. What would you rather do? Personally I would rather talk to a person on the phone. It also depends on who it is and why I am having the conversation or how much time that I have to talk.

I had rather talk on the phone.I really hate texting..First of all i have to get a magnifing glass to see the stuff, then i make mistakes & have to go back and correct it..I could hold a whole conversation by the time i could text one message...

i don't know how to text & i don't want to learn. i had rather talk on the phone. i don't mind e-mails but sometimes when my friends e-mail instead of calling i think well guess they didn't want to talk to me. lol. my oldest son likes to try to settle things by e-mail & i don't. if he didn't live here it would be different.

I too, would like to talk to the person on the phone when my message is important and I need to talk personally instead of just email or text to that person.By Talking personally, you can express and explain properly because there is an immediate reaction. You can answer directly if there are some questions.javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphMainContent$lbStart','')

I would prefer doing voice chat instead of typing text but at the same time it also depends if he/she is a stranger to u or not.

I agree that it does very much depend on what is the topic of conversation. IM is fine for my work as I can send and receive files and ask questions pointing out problesms and the like. Emails are handy for people who live a long way away and a phone call might be expensive or even at the wrong time of day if they live in another country. I don't like texting unless it is just a very simple quick 'how are you' to a person I have not seen or heard from for ages. Most of all I prefer the phone though and sometimes I am on the phone and IM at the same time sending files and commenting them.
