I have yet another question when it comes to Hamburger Helper. I realize that there are all different types and flavors of that recipe in a box but I was wondering if you like the boxes that require adding just milk or water. I think that adding milk seems like a better recipe.

I do not use Hamburger helper. I like to make my own seasonings and gravies. I think I got burned out on hamburger helper so I began to cook without it. I can make hamburger taste delicious and using onions and garlic and chesses and ect. I just prefer to do that now.

Ive never used hamburger helper, it is just so easy to through them together from scratch. and the taste is so much better. My husband liked the cheeseburger one his ex-wife prepared it for him. So i started making it from scratch, i even make my own pasta for it, hamburger, cheese...onion..Tomato..fresh herbs..He would not go back to the box stuff now for any thing. I guess being a stay at home wife leaves me the time to do all this. but i love cooking.

The milk makes it a nicer texture and it does taste better. I don't eat it often but I sometimes add things to it like some sour cream for the stroganoff or tuna casserole stuff, maybe some parmesan for the chili mac.

To me I don't have a favorite. For some reason to me at least, they all seem to taste the same. I'd rather have one made from scratch or I'll just go get some dinner somewhere elsewhere.

I always add milk to mine. I also add extra stuff- mushrooms, onion, celery, garlic. Anything else I can think of to add more flavor.

One of my favorites. I love Hamburger Helper. I actually like them all. I substitute soy protein crumbles for the meat, and it comes out great. No messy skillet to clean. I also like the Tuna Helpers.
