Ever lost jewelry?

I lost my mom's gold ring when I was in college. I still don't know how and when. All I could remember was that I wore it to school then by the end of the day, I couldn't remember what happened to it. I went back to all the places I went and even visited the Lost and Found area everyday for a week.
That was 2 years ago. This year I lost another one - an earring. She told me to wear it because it looked nice and she likes it when her daughters wear jewelry instead of plastic/fake. I felt really terrible. I told her that I lost it and gave her the other earring, but I didn't ask for a new pair of earrings. I decided to buy myself a pair when I've saved up enough. In that way, I'd be even more careful with it since I'd be wearing something I worked for :)

hi. i lost a pendant my mom gave me when i was only 12 years old. i could not remember how and where i lost it. when i was about to remove the necklace at night, only the chain remained. i felt terrible and i remember i was so scared to tell my mother. i prayed so hard that it will be found. believe it or not, i found it after how many weeks in my study table. i was so happy. my mom never knew i lost and found the pendant. :-)
