sleeping more than 6,7 hours is good to health ,if anyones sleeps more than that ,there are wasting more time and i think they will be lazy in many things in their life. sleep for 6,7 hours and remaining time we should be before this mylot.if anyone starts in this mylot, he/she can;t sleep more than 6,7 hours. he/she will be addicted to mylot rather than sleep.

As I said earlier the requirement differs on your job. A software engineer is recommended at least 8 hours of sleep, whereas a professor may only do with 6 hours, a student would be okay with 6-7 hours as well . Different people have different needs to re-energise your body. It is also true that sleeping for very long hours has negative impact on health

nope. not at all. our body needs rest. it just "wastes" more time if we don't take the necessary rest and end up falling sick. Well i have first-hand experience. And now i know better. I compromised sleep for my work. IN the beginning, it was subtle. I would get headaches here and there and migraines on some days. It affected my work anyhow. And then one day *wham* i crashed. Bought down with a flu + cough+ fever + body aches. And this went on for about 2 days plus. I wasn't able to do anything but sleep and sleep was all i could do. And even now that i'm better and able to continue with my work, i'm still "suffering" from the left-overs. And so i do get dizzy and have to stop work for a little breather. I conclude that the pain i suffered just wasn't worthed it.

Oh I agree completely i feel bad after sleeping in because i am actually sleeping away my life...I think it would be worth to cut off one 3rd of your lifetime to not have to sleep..

Different people have different sleeping needs. Some need 8 hours of sleep.Depends on age and physiology of a person.During sleep the body gets detoxofied and one wakes up fresh. Many chemicals required for the total health of a person os produced when he sleeps.

I do not think sleeping is wastage of time. Sleep freshens aur mind and increases productivity. If you sleep for say 5 hours and work the rest OR sleep for 7 hours and work for rest, I believe you will actually see more output in the second case. I actually sleep around 8 hours, probably on higher side but the min sleep hours required vary on the type of work you do.
