A friend of mine was selling Girl Scout cookies for his daughter. I ordered the short bread for my husband and the chocolate mints for me, they are $3.50 a box. He came by yesterday with the cookies, he did not bring what I ordered though. He had two boxes of lemon cookies. they taste pretty good, but for $3.50, there were only 16 cookies in the box. don't you think for $3.50 they could give you more than 16 cookies?

Yes they should give more then 16 cookies for $3.50 a book! Here were I leave it is still $3.00 a box! I bought from 2 girl scouts! One girl 4 boxes and the other 3! I spent $18.00 on girlscout cookies! Usaually I cut it of at 4 boxes! Oh well! I'll be eating cookies for awile which I don't mind!

I used to buy at least four boxes too, when they were three dollars a box. I was helping out the organization, because I really could not afford to buy them, I have been out of work for seven months and my husband was laid off too, so it was a big sacrifice for me.

My DD is in GS and I only ordered 3 boxes here too. I don't know why they have so few in a box of some of the varieties. However you have to look at it as a chairity sale and they usually mark up things a lil higher. But if you also look in the store at some Keebler Or ChipsAhoy cookies the pkgs are a lil bigger and you can pay up to a dollar more than on the GS cookies. Eitherway it's still a better deal than the boy scouts fundraisers.... good greif $35 for a tin of popcorn! No thanks!

I have noticed that too. It's a little annoying. I have supported girl scouts for years by purchasing their cookies, but they continue to increase in price and offer less cookies. I know times are tough but, come on...... . Don't keep us from our cookies . Haha

Well why did he not bring the ones you asked for? I do think $3.50 a box is a lot considering how many cookies are in the box. I really like the Caramel Delights ones though, so for those I will buy a box sometimes. I don't over do it like some people and order a case.

I do not know why he brought the wrong ones, he made a quick stop to our house, my husband answered the door, and came in the house with the two wrong boxes of cookies. This man lives about two hours from us, so I just let it go, rather than have him come back with the cookies I ordered.

Intead of raising the prices every year instead they shrink the amount of cookies in the box. If you had bought that same box last year there would have been 2 more cookies in there, and I am willing to bet next year there will be even less cookies. Just think of it as helping the girl scout troop, and the girl scout organization and getting a little tasty treat. Yes, I do agree that is a good amount of money for just 16 cookies.
