I was wonder why Obama had to fly to Denver to sign the stimulus bill when he could have saved a few thousand dollars in gas for that plane flying there....Doesn't he know that he doesn't have to campaign anymore cause he's already President...
It seems to me that if he would stay in Washington DC till he has to go to a meeting with world leaders he could save a few bucks.....

He got used to rolling in the money during the campaign. Money was not object to him then and it looks like he still thinks that now. I have been saying all these "town hall meetings" are a HUGE waste of money. He could have just given an address from the oval office and saved the tax payers the expense of all the travel and events.

Because my lovely conservative state has now become a swing state. He is campaigning for 2012. If he can manage to make illegal immigrant votes count, he will be in!
On this same subject, I would like to point out the crap they gave the auto fellas about flying in for their meeting...........

He is still in campaign mode. He zipped around the country for two years, now he can't just idle in one city, lol. I think that he believes if people see him live and in person instead of over their TV that he'll get the message across to them much better. Worked during the campaign. People don't like the package, even a lot of his supporters don't. But it has to be right if he comes all the way to them to explain the details on why it's necessary and why it should work.
Yes, I too think this is unnecessary. The growing resentment will not be erased just because he explains it in person. People just see it for what it is, good money thrown after bad...
