Have you ever gotten a free food hook up before?

I have a few times. My sister-in-law's baby daddy works at Burger King. And I have had free burgers before. I have even been able to get free food from McDonald's and Wendy's. Sometimes they may have gotten my order wrong, and they allowed me to walk off with free food. So, have you ever received free food as a hook up in any way? It is cool to get one especially if you are very hungry and low in cash..

Hi! hi! it happened to me too once in awhile. Some food stores here have a rule that a customer will get freebies if the cashier didn't give you the food receipt. Hmmm . . . I wish they'll always make mistakes (just kidding).

Yes, I have! Other than Applebee's Denny's is another favorite restaurant of mine to eat in. It's moderately priced and family oriented. Well, one time I got lousy service from a waiter and when I complained to the manager and he begain arguing with me. Finally I said in a very firm voice, "I'm not paying for that meal!", and I walked out. When I came into the same Denny's about a month later I talked with a different manager about the problem I had with the other manager and this manager gave me a free meal for the trouble I had gone through. Another time I went to the same Denny's and I ordered the Nachos Supreme (my favorite item on the menu) and it had a huge piece of plastic in it. I called the manager on duty at the time and showed her the plastic. I was very nice to her because I liked her and it wasn't her fault that there was plastic in my food. Well, she ended up not charging me for the meal that time either! Years before I used to regularly frequent a local restaurant in my neighborhood and on ocassion I wouldn't have the money to pay for my meal and the owners trusted me enough to allow me to pay the next time I came in. They were very sweet people. This only happened about 3 times. I wasn't abusive about it and I honestly thought I had sufficient money in my purse! I miss those days! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

Many many times. For the past several months, my credit card is having a promotion wherein you avail free food items from a local fastfood store. All you need to do is present the transaction slip and voila! they'll give you food freebies. There's still actualy choices depends on your amount of purchase. I have had several free lunch and snacks.

Yes, I received my meals free when I worked at a fast food restaurant. It was part of working there. I have never received free food as a customer though. At Walmart, they used to have a free cookie program. You just had to present your card to get the cookie of the day. It was a wonderful way to try something new before deciding to buy cookies. It is sad that they have done away with the program. Oh well, it seems all good things are going away these days.

Hi cream dear! The only time that I got a free meal was when a friend of mine whom I haven't seen for a long time happened to be in the same restaurant I was dining in with my best friend. I didn't notice that he was there and only when I called on the waiter to hand us our bill, that the waiter told us our bill was already paid and pointed out who paid it. To my surprise it was a college friend whom I haven't seen for a long time. Such a welcoming treat! Of course, he went at our table and we did stayed for a few more minutes to catch up on things. Since then, I haven't seen him again but we were able to exchange numbers and we are still in communication with each other. Take care and blessings to you! lovelots..faith

Yes I have and when I was younger and working fast food I gave them too. A friend of mine who was a manager got fired for it and they made her pay for the food she had given away. Which over time was a few hundred dollars of food. She had to either agree to pay it back of the owner was going to press charges. So where it might be good for you it could cost someone else their job.

A few times its happened to me, we got a free meal one time because they took a long time to get our order out to us, they waitress came and asked us if we ate yet, we said no, she went to check on our order and someone had it To Go, it was sitting in a sack, so she told us we weren't gonna be charged for it, I thought hey thats cool..haha. I also have a sister and brother in law that own a Simple Simon's pizza place and everytime we go in there, if my brother in laws in there he'll let us eat free..heehee. We do pay tho sometimes, especially if he's not there and the other workers don't know who we are.

I remembered about 10 or 15 years ago, my eldest sister was working at Mc Donalds. No kidding - she would bring back food every night when she worked there. Not only food as in fries but a few burgers & also drinks. There was this one particular cousin who loved Mc Donalds so much & when he heard about it, he asked my uncle to go pick up my sister after her work to send her back to our place as they lived nearby. And of course, my cousin would always follow along. Even him who loved Mc Ds so much said enough to Mc Ds, hahaYou can imagine how much the food they throw away in one day if my sister hadn't brought back the food. Ooo, I loved the free milkshake too, haha

Hi cream97, Oh how lovely, no nothing like that happened to me as I don't have this kind of fast food, I have to cook everyday as hubby don't like junk food. I don't mind going for a burger no and again but never get a chance. Love and hugs. Tamara xxxx

I've had a bunch of friends who work in food service and have gotten several meals free in the past. In those cases, I usually leave a pretty large tip to show how much I appreciate them going out of their way for me or whoever I'm with. It's a really good feeling when someone's willing to comp your food order :)

I used to also have a friend who used to work at Burger King, and any time he worked the night shift, I was able to pass by his job and he'd give me 2 bags of whoppers and fries for free. THat was always good when I used to leave the club late at night with my friends and was hungry and low on cash because I spent it all on drinks at the club and needed the rest for taxi money to get home.
