Foreclosure

Have you heard the latest on the octuplets grandmother who is going into foreclosure? Why would a woman who lives with her mother and can't support herself want to raise 14 children. If anyone needs to be blamed for anything this woman should have her fair share. I love my children but if I couldn't provide basic needs for them I would give them to someone who could. I want what's best for them. What do you think?

Some people just make no sense. The question is why 14 children? I know where I live there are many people of a different religion that have anywhere from 6 to 20 children. And I heard that it is a requirement for them to have that many children, according to the religion. And guess what, the government supports them all. I have seem them in the supermarket using food stamps with thousands of dollars on them for food. And other things as well. Meaning non food products. How do they get away with this? That is the million dollar question.

@inertia4 I really believe after the second one if you can't afford them the government takes away your ability to have them or takes away support for them. I think some women have children just to get money from the government. I wonder if they ever heard of fostering!

@mommaj These people will never do that. It is a religious thing with them. I don't get it and you're right, the government should step in on this. They get everything handed to them and it is quite annoying. Everyone else has to suffer. And they live in million dollar homes with new cars and fur coats. How this is possible is beyond my knowledge.

@inertia4 Exactly. What I want to know is why the government allows hand outs to those people. The ones that aren't married and have ten kids by ten fathers should just have their rights taken away.

I can even fathom birthing 14 much less supporting that many. I don't understand some people and never will.

@fishtiger58 HAHAHA That is funny! I love it. I don't know why anyone WANTS to be on welfare. I understand if you run into a problem and are on welfare. Not if you make a job out of having a kid every year. LOL

I know that is me! Why on earth have that many? If you can't take care of the first few why have more? I don't think anybody thinks past what THEY want.

Obvously, not a well thought out decision on her part. I think her obstretician should have talked her out of it. I mean she doesn't even have a husband to help out..bad decision...all the way around.

I would certainly think so. If she had money to take care of the kids on her own, then I could have seen it.

I would not have that many in the first place.

@vandana7 I am definitely with you on that! I love babies, but I think at some point you would have enough and your body would tell you that as well.

@vandana7 I can understand having a child if you don't have any and you may not be able to afford the baby. I just think you need to know that you can provide basic needs. If you already have a couple of children and cannot afford them, you don't need to bring more into the situation.

@mommaj ...I too love babies. That is why it annoys me when women have them without considering how tough future can be for them. Fair share of thinking for child is necessary. It is pretty much like a contract with an uneducated person actually. A child does not understand the implications of his or her birth. Therefore, those responsible for his or her birth should think whether there is a good future for him or her or not.

That's crazy! You shouldn't have more than you can afford, religion or not! Why should we support your butt because of your beliefs? No thank you!

I've been under a rock because I haven't heard about this woman birthing that many kids. I remember Octomom a few years back, is this another woman?

This was written in 2009 so I am sure it was one of those reality show things that was in the news back then. I really do not remember.

That is quite right. How they can take care of so many children is beyond me.

I haven't heard of that lady in forever. Her whole story drives me insane. I feel like she just wanted kids for publicity but what now?

I felt the same way. She didn't deserve to have the kids much less her own show. I don't know what happened to her.
