Does anone know if Demand Studios is a legit company to work for?

I want to apply to work for Demand Studios, but when I checked it out on the BBB website, they have an "F" rating. I am also apprehensive because they ask for your SS# (supposedly for tax purposes). Any info about them is appreciated!
