It was quite an event to see President Obama arrive in Ottawa tod ay.
Boy, there was quite a crowd and the excitement was high. The security was incredible as there are always kooks out there. We may think that Presidents have a great life but their life is always hanging by a thread, they know that they can have their life snuffed out at any time.
The journalist that threw his shoes at President Bush could have easily have thrown something else. No matter how the security is tight..someone can always get at them.
I don't envy his wife's position either. I rather my quiet life and not have that huge responsiblility on my shoulders.
I have just my native nation to care for and I find that huge ..imagine if I had a whole country.
Well, it was quite an event and the people wont forget him for sure.

Obama came at the right time in the right place.one more year of Bush politics would ruin the whole economics.It won't be easy for him to put everything in it's place and it will take long time too.Of course, there'll be some disappointment, but all I can say - to change the life of a single person is one thing, to change the life of millions - that's a big job.He's just a man.He's not a God.
But when people believe you, you can do miracles sometimes.
He's learning to be a good president.Help him and not judge him.
So, if you see him, send him a rose from me too, dear friend.

Oh god, I'm soooooooooo sorry about that, we'll try to keep a better eye on him in the future.
All kidding aside. I wish the world understood how much at odds this man is with the principals of our nation. He would be a great leader for Canada, france, or any other parlimenary styled, socialist minded nation, but as the servant of a constitutional, federal republic, he is so wrong on so many levels. I'm glad you guys feel the U.S. has a leader you can like, but honestly, it is far more important to me that our elected servants stand first for the constitution and our own nation first. If other like him, great, if not, oh well.

Where to begin.......
The same issues I had with the last guy in office, only much worse. You have to understand how our federal government is supposed to operate. Obama's ideology of governence is so at odds with what our founders established.

This is the second posting on here about President Obama's trip to Canada. Although a short one, this was his first international trip as president. Both postings seemed quite positive and you cannot imagine how good that feels to me. It's been a long time since an American president has received any positive feedback from other countries and I was beginning to wonder if it would ever happen again.

Yes and strangely enough its my son and me..two people from canada not one from the US..lol
I can see that he is sincere, that he is people oriented, he is in office truly to help people, he wants to make a change and we are all proud that he chose Canada for his foreign visit.
You can tell in his voice that he is a non nonsense man. He doesn't beat around the bush with..hidden agenda. He is upfront and honest.
