what do you when hurt someone?

i will feel very bad after hurting someone. ususally i will always be the first to apologize from him/her although he/she is wrong in that particular matter. i always believe that we should never let anyone to feel the pain for more than a day. we should not drag this matter but settle & ask for forgiveness as soon as we feel he/she has been hurt. that is not the time for us to think that whether he/she is right or wrong or whether we should apologize or wait him/her to apologize.:)
