Capital Punishment!! Should it be allowed to execute criminals?

I believe majority of the countries have death penalty to serious criminals, but is it justified?
Do you think that the court have the right to take away human life, even though that the criminal have committed serious offense, such as murder? We say killing is wrong, and yet we resorts to taking away the criminal's life? The possibility of rehabilitation is ruled out, the chances of criminal being turned over a new leaf and contribute to the society is ruled out.
I would see that life imprisonment is a better option for serious offenders.

well to start with i would say that its right that we are not the creators....god is the one.....so he only should have the right to eliminate anyone....but my friend this is also true that no one has the right to commit crimes like rape murders etc....if these criminals are not dealt with harshly....they will continue with their crimes.....and what i feel is that only eliminating the people who perform bad deeds can only eliminate bad from the society.....
so if u ask me....i would say capital punishment to hardcore criminals is absolutely justified.

ok, i understand from your perspective, but what makes us or the court to decide for someone else life?
They may be hardcore criminals, but isn't life imprisonment a better option, a worse punishment?
Of course, i may think differently if i'm the victim or the family members of the victim.. .

okkk....just tell me who gave them the right to kill????or rape....they commit crimes that destroy other peoples life.....so how can u xpect them to get aweay with anything less than capital punishment

i'm partly for the capital punishment. there are some real evil people, they slaughter, they hurt everything around them, such people shouldn't exit in this globe. the court reflects people's will. let me take an example, in Taiwan,china, Chenshuibian has accepted bribery and other illegal money amount to over 1,500,000,000 or even 20 or 30 billion U.S.dollars ! should such person be mercied? without capital punishment, such high status person will be sentensed decades of years in jail, then what ? the sentence will be minused again and again, in the end, he may serve no more than 5 years or even less than 2 years with his power and money. His idiot daughter yells all the time facing TV or newspaper reporters on the screen, claiming they following her around. why shouldn't we follow her? she is burning the nation's money for her own use and wash the sin money for her mother and father. Just think about this : a girl in her early 20s lives in a house worth 40,000,000 yuan, equal 6,000,000 U.S.D with her husband. Does she have the right to manipulate the people's money for her private use ?
