Do you feel this taking away a citizens rights? I myself cannot understand how anyone feels abortion is okay. This story is however about an invidual with basically his rights as a citizen threaten more than a threat to the now president POLICE STATE, USA Cops confiscate anti-abortion bumper sticker Send Secret Service to investigate possible threat to Obama © 2009 WorldNetDaily An Oklahoma City man has had his anti-abortion bumper sticker confiscated by police who told him it represented a potential threat to President Obama. A report in the online edition of the city's Oklahoman newspaper said police later returned the bumper sticker, which said, "Abort Obama Not the Unborn." Motorist Chip Harrison said he was driving on Interstate 240 recently when a police cruiser passed him, then slowed down and pulled in behind him. Soon he was pulled over. The officers explained they were stopping him because of the sign, which they perceived as a threat to the president. They then passed their opinion along to the U.S. Secret Service. Police spokesman Steve McCool told the newspaper the sign was returned quickly because there was no real reason for its confiscation. (Story continues below) "You've got an officer who had a different thought on what the word 'abort' meant," McCool told the newspaper. The policeman "shouldn't have taken the sign. That was [the driver's] First Amendment right to voice his concern," McCool said. Harrison told reporters he does not believe in abortion because he is a Christian, and he hadn't decided immediately whether he would file a complaint. The Secret Service later contacted him and requested a "walk-through" of his home to make sure he wasn't a danger, Harrison reported. Harrison reported the agents visited with him, then told him the case was closed and left. The dispute was over the meaning of "abortion," he said. The officers interpreted that to imply a threat to kill, he said. He said it means to terminate or remove. "Just because I don't agree with his policies doesn't mean I wish him any harm," Harrison said. "I wish he'd change his views on a few things."

That's ridiculous. It's freedom of speech, just how people have freedom of choice. What a double standard our country has.

I would not wish anyone harm either , and do agree that it is our right to disagree with abortion and it is our right to have a bumper sticker that says so ! You, see, our boss , Is God! I do not feel that Killing and massive amounts of abortions are preformed for heavens' sake...it is sin, and the commandment tells us ... thou shalt not kill! Have you seen my pro life lobby post yet?

So we can only put government approved bumper stickers on our cars now? This is frightening because we don't know what will be taken away next. I don't advocate abortion but even if I did this country has always prided itself on the free speech issue. This is not the same thing as yelling "fire" in a theater. If you don't like the sticker, don't look at it. Simple.

I am real nervous about how we cannot express the truth without being bashed a bashers. An halfway intelligent person would know abort does not mean kill! I jut believe a person could get pulled over, then have a secret service come to search his home!
