To marry or not ?

I want to get marry, but it won't be too soon after I will become a lawyer. Yes, I want to be a lawyer first before settling down and establish my own family. That is also when I would be emotionally, morally, mentally, financially, spiritually and psychologically ready and prepared to become a wife and a mother. Marriage is a commitment and a responsibility. It involves mutual love,respect,trust,loyalty and understanding between the married couple. I do have a boyfriend and we have more than 4 years relationship now. He wants us to get marry, but I told him I could not for now because of my reason mentioned above. He respect that reason, anyway. I would definitely go for marriage because of love. I believe though that love may fade sometime, but I believe more that it is a feeling that both has to work for to keep it stronger and longer. It is very hard to set an ideal qualification of a partner because I believe there is no perfect mate. i would be very glad if the qualifications am looking for will be met. Certainly, my ideal partner is someone who is hardworking, articulate,responsible, loves me more, and understanding.
