What makes a person truely happy? Is it finally getting something you've always wanted, having that dream job, finding true love, or starting a family? People always ask this question all the time to themselves. "What makes me truely happy? Well there are several answers to this question I have for myself. One answer would be my family finally getting me. Rather it's my emotions, or things I've gone through. There are several things about me my family don't get, but that's only cause they are rarely around me or open their eyes to see things I go through. A second thing would be people finally hearing me. I'm an intelligent person not just with certain book smarts but also about life and love. I've learn't about all that not just through experience but also because I open my eyes and observe the world around me. Another thing that makes me happy is having the people I love most in my life every day. Rather it's that one true love, family, or friends just being able to hear their voide and see their smiling faces gives me that warmth in my heart. Also having dreams and setting goals to reach, Those dreams coming true is something that makes me happy. Reason is cause it gives me hope for the future. Rather it be going to school, getting that dream job, or being with that one true love and starting a life as well as a family with them. Another thing would be good friends who are there to help you through thick and thi. They are there to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on. Also to help you get through rough times with people who want to hurt you. All I can say there are many things out there that will give a person happiness. It could be a person , an event, an animal, or a thing. It's also both big and small but it's there just takes someone to look deep in their heart and open up to what they want and need to make them happy. They just shouldn't be afraid to get the happiness they need and deserve.

I agree with elysium...happiness is relative. One person's happiness may be another person's pain. A person's happiness may be to find his true love, while for another it's to accumulate wealth and money, or to have more friends, or to host parties, or shopping, and countless of ther material and immaterial things. Of course, on the spiritual side, we are taught to love unconditonally so as to achieve real peace and happiness. Also, forgiveness and compassion and charity. The list could go on and on, but I still believe that what a person makes happy is manifested in his spending more time on it. A father who loves his family spends more time with them; a worker who truly loves his work does not mind spending extra hours just to complete his work; a mother may spend 24 hours a day nurturing a sick child--is moved with love for the child, finds real joy in doing so. There are a lot of things which make us happy, and they come without a price tag. They are often considered as most valuable than silver and gold, and the glitter of money. They are peace, contentment, love, service, and a lot more. Here's wishing you genuine happiness....

I thing the real happiness comes from superconsciousness, It is so easy to be happy that we have not to do anything for it its our very nature that we are very happy,Have you the calmness on the face of a baby,We all were born happy and relaxed, Knowing the ultimate truth we can be very happy, being aware of our aloneness and accepting the very great truth of our lives I feel make us happy... peace is one way to attain it...

'The mind is its own place And can make a Heaven of Hell and a Hell of Heaven' Milton. As far as I am concerned , I feel that when one's basic needs are met in a decent manner [meaning food , shelter and clothes in reasonable comfort where you need not worry about where your next meal is to come from or whether you would be in the streets, ]when all your faculties are right and you have good health, when you are surrounded by your loved ones and they are all keeping fine, then it becomes a matter of mindset. So, getting happiness is an internal thing.
