I'm sorry that I'm not answering discussions today but I do not trust myself to be on my best behavior. On febuary 6th I got a root canal done and the doctors were supposed to finish it on Febuary 16th but on the 13th they called and told me that there was a complication and they had to refer me to another doctor. GRRRR.. They also said that they were going to refund my money and that it would take 2 weeks to 30 days for it to hit the card I used. GRRRR again.. I asked if the temp cement filling they put in there would hold up until then.. They said yes. Well this thursday my tooth started to hurt worse than it did even before the root canal.. So now I'm in pain and in need of release of this pain. To illustrate how bad it is I had a turkey sandwhich this morning and I after I finished it I didn't want to talk or even attempt to eat and I went straight for a nap after taking one of the pain pills that I got when they did the root cacal. I have to say that I don't like taking pills and I absolutely have always been the less is more person. So I do apologize about not responding to the responses that I have been blessed with in my discussions but I'm not in my top form for any debates and I honestly can't trust myself to be nice when I feel like ripping heads off right now. I'm in pain and I'm cranky and I think the best thing for me to do is to just not answer antying until I feel a little better unless it's a do you like coke or pepsi discussion. LOL!! So in order to make this a discussion has anyone ever been in pain and not trusted yourself to answer a discussion? Have you ever had something like this happen to you ? Don't you just hate dental work?

Oh my goodness! I sympathise with you my dear friend. My son had a lot of trouble with a root canal he had done... it took a year to get everything finalised from the time it was initially started. I hope yours doesn't last too long... toothache is the pits, especially when you can't eat or drink without setting it off. I would have thought they could have taken the nerve out for you, at the very least, but have you tried zinc? I fear it would have little effect owing to the severity of your pain but it's worth a try! Brightest Blessings... please don't worry about us. Take all the time you need, my friend. xx

It's still too long to have to wait in that much pain, my friend. Don't you have emergency dentists out there?

Sorry... what I'm getting at is that they could take the nerve out, or refill it until that time!

I do need to go to the dentist but I don't have the time which is just as well because the dentist would be the last person I would want to go to. Cheers!!

I dislike dental work so much that I don't go. I have not been to a dentist in about 14 years. Yes, my teeth are a mess, my fillings are falling out and my teeth are breaking but so be it. I discovered my last dentist was ripping me off. I also get nervous and teary even oin the waiting room...so embarrassing. And yes, I know that pain you are talking about but I haven't had that for about 14 years as well. They should have a TV show .... "when dental work goes wrong" maybe dentists would get their act together.

To be honest this is why I hate the dentist and I don't go often... I try and keep my teeth taken care off but there are sometimes when something goes wrong and I end up in that chair and trust me the panic attacks aren't worth it.

Oh, you poor dear. I noticed in the other discussions you were saying you were getting a bit cranky, but at that particular moment it was definitely called for and I know of more than one person that was glad for it. Me included. It's always nice when you don't have to stand up against someone that is malicious alone. Although, I have and will do it again, no problems there. But, I so feel for your pain. I will tell ya, though. MJ worked wonders for my last toothache. It was the only thing I found that actually worked. And you'll get the giggles, too. So, why not, eh? The only thing I have experienced that is horribly painful for me is aunt flo. It has been a misery to me since I was 11 yrs old. I've tried many painkillers for many years to cope with it's regularly occuring want and need to RIP someone's head off. But toothache pain is pretty comparable to the unecessary monthly labour I have to endure. At some times, I think it really can be worse. And yes, I HATE going to the dentist. Always have, always will. Um, if I bring back an item that I purchased at the store, and they refund me...they will refund it back to my debit or credit card that it was originally taken from.....immediately. So what's the friggin holdup? 3 wks? OMG! That's just ridiculous! And if they screwed up, why do you have to wait?

Yeah I have no clue why so long to get the money back onto the card that was used. grrrr. I'm pissed about that if you know what I mean. But now I have to go through the crap all over again. I'm sor tired right now but can't sleep so I'm answering some of my discussion ones that I know I can't get really cranky in answering.. I have avoided my to be or not to be discussion right now. I had Sparks respond to one person for me. LOL!!! Because I felt they needed to be responded to but I just hurt to bad not to be a B!tch with my answer to them. LOL!!!

Well, since they screwed up and it is the reason you must endure this unbearable pain for weeks, maybe a month, I'm sorry, but I'd be offering to sue them. You're in just the right mindset to take your pain and frustration out on those who deserve it. Point......aim......POW! I would be screaming and yelling at them DAILY until they rectified the situation. The squeaky wheel gets the grease. You won't get any results by just standing by quietly.

I called them today and asked where my refund was and they said it will take 10-15 business days to process and since thet didn't start the refund process til the 16th there have only been 5 business days that have passed grrr. which means I won't get my tooth done til mid march at this rate.
