do you see the picture crying?

I was just remembering a trip I took with a small group from my church when I was growing up. We went to see this picture in a regular house in a regular bedroom hanging over a regular bed. Only catch is, this was not supposed to be a regular picture. It was a picture of Jesus on the cross and the lady who owned it claimed it cries. I was there with 8 people for about 6 hours, none of us saw anything. The woman claimed it was because there were too many 'non-believers' in attendance. I was wondering if anyone has ever had an experience with a picture or a statue that supposedly wept or bled. Did you see it yourself?

This story smells like a fish and I would not be surprised if this woman was scamming everybody. I really have no use for crying or bleeding pictures or statues. Any power that has that kind of capability would be able to manifest something that would really shake the very core of everyone who needs to be shaken. Cheers!!

Nice response. You make me wish it really did cry. It's about time for those who need to be shaken to be shaken. Instead, they are the ones creating these stories to try and keep everybody afraid.

I have never seen anything like that myself. I have heard of it happening. It sounds to me like this is a hoax. Paintings of Jesus are just paintings so I wouldn't think they would be particularly "holy" or carry any supernatural attributes.

I thought so too. But, there were some adults with us (I was a child at the time) who really believed this stuff and were so upset that it didn't cry for us. I don't know if anybody paid this woman money, but, I would hope not.

The problem that I have with her claim is that there were too many "non-believers" there. If there is going to be a miracle, wouldn't God especially want the non-believers to witness it? The believers are already convinced. *shrug* To answer your question, no, I've never seen anything like this in person.

*shrugs* I agree with both of you. It is madness. I didn't see it and I stared at it for hours. I had so many other things I'd rather be doing, but, I have an open mind and wanted to try it. I have never met anyone who claims to have seen anything like this actually happen. I was wondering if anyone on here can claim to have had an experience like this.

I have never seen it, but I understand that it is a common hoax. I am not sure how it is done but I know there are ways to make it happen. I think it has something to do with humidity and temperature or something. Of course, some people insist on seeing images in toast and potato chips.

yeah, I'm waiting to get the "Holy Chip" myself, I'll be rich. I see images in clouds and stuff, I chaulk it up to imagination. I suppose there are some who believe the images are actually there! **madness**
