I have seen one of my discussion posted there! I always hunt for it coz its a great feeling to see my discussions to be placed at that section. Although, other would see it but i want to witness it on my own.
When a discussion reaches 5 responses and the last response is just about a minute ago, it will be place there. Same as to old discussions when the starter respond to other responses it will also place there thats why you will notice that you are still gaining new responses keeping your discussion alive.

Yes, one of ym discussions has been on today's top!
It was a great experience, as I wasn't expecting it. I was just on the front mylot page and saw today top discussions, and realized mine was on the top. The reason it caught my attention was because I saw my avatar next to it, and nothing really made sense for a minute, and then when I realized my discussion was on today's top, I was very very happy! 
The discussion was on whether people are members of mylot for the money or for mylot itself, or maybe both.
It got 37 responses, which is the best number of responses I have ever received for a discussion I have made. :)

yeah, it a moral booster for us to make a quality discussions. only few discussions got a lot of responses.

There are many times I have seen one of my discussions as a Todays Top discussion, and it really does feel good and motivates me for sure to keep on posting better discussions on here as well. I know that hey it may not always stay there that long before moving down, but at least it was there so others here could notice it, and maybe keep it going to be responded back too as well.

your right, maybe not all users might seen that but at least their are people who would see it and the possibility of getting a new response is very high at that point.

Oh yeah, not just once but for a few times. The most responses that I got so far was 70 responses and it gives me a good feeling. I am very thankful to my fellow mylotter, especially my friends, who don't fail to give their comments.

My discussions that have 8 to 20 responses, i got the chance to see them on my list but those on much higher number of responses like even my highest one which is 96 or 97 i cant remember the exact number, i havent seen them on the list as of now. Weird! Lol.

Congratulations, my friend lockheart. Yes that's true, it is so heart-warming to see out own discussion posted or listed in the top discussions of the day. I have seen my discussions in the list in the past and I actually made screen shots of it as a remembrance. There are also some incidents that my discussions were included in the mylot digest. Those emails like that, I saved them in my mailbox, just like the certificates or trophies,

Yeah, i have. A few times. I think my goat meat discussion made it. It just don't last because of the high level of competition here. It's pretty much inspiring but i don't know what qualifies to be on the top discussions tab. I have seen discussions with fewer responses but it's there. I guess it's the frequency of responses coming in at a certain period of time.

actually if a response already got 5 responses and then it receive it's 6th response, there is a chance that discussion will appear on the list. i think it's mylot promotion of several discussions that still gets responses even though its an old discussion because if discussion as sorted in interest sections, the newer discussion the most attention it will get coz it will stay on the top as long as there is no newer discussion that has been made.
