I think he just calls things like he sees them and I find it very refreshing actually! Many of the people that come in front of him are there because they are surrounded by people telling them how great they are, when in reality they're not. We all need a good reality check every once in a while if you ask me. He has been in the business for a very long time and made millions out of it, so many of the things he has to say may be considered harsh by some, but it's crucial advice! Becoming a performer is a tough task for anybody and people trying to make it are going to face much harsher criticism than anything Simon Fuller dishes out! In many ways, he's also preparing them for that. His criticisms may also push performers to try even harder and how's that a bad thing?

Hahahaha. You are absolutely right! My mistake! lol. Well if we're talking Simon Fuller here and NOT Cowell, then my admiration for him goes even deeper. This guy has great vision and is raking in millions for turning the concept of a singing contest into a global phenomenon! Good for him.

Simon Fuller is the creator of 'Idol.' Simon Cowell is the judge you are thinking of. Yes, Simon does it for entertainment purposes only. I like him, he's funny. It just sucks for the bad people who make it all the way to the judges, just to be humiliated on national television.
