Oh thanks for clearing that up. Now I wonder if what we call pickles in UK is the same thing. They are all mixed up vegetables in a spicy sauce and are eaten with cold meats usually. Is that what you do with those or do you eat them with bread and butter?

Pickles here are strictly cucumbers. Dill pickles are in a vinegar and water mixture and sweet pickles have sugar in the liquid.

I bet homemade ones would be great!
