I think that raw oysters are great. I also like raw fruits and vegetables. I've never tried sushi, but I'm curious what it tastes like. What raw foods do you enjoy?

I do not seem to be very adventurous when it comes to raw foods. I can eat raw fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds. I would never be able to eat raw oysters or sushi, I get queasy just thinking about it. Ewwwww! lol...hopefully though, I will be able to include more raw foods in my diet in the near future.

Well you know, there's a difference between sushi, which can be partially cooked and sashimi which is all raw. A sushi roll has rice, which is cooked, seaweed, which doesn't require cooking and some type of filling. A roll with avocado, cream cheese and smoked salmon or cucumber wouldn't require anything else cooked. My mother used to turn up her nose at sushi until I pointed ouut that if she could eat lox she could eat the sushi. As for the subject of raw fish, you'd be surprised at how easy it is to digest though I don't like thick pieces. Many people eat things like carpaccio and don't think of what they are eating. For all you raw food phobes if you're some place where people are serving raw fish or shrimp you can always make ceviche and "cook" the seafood my marinating it in citrus juice for about ten minutes. Some vegetables are good raw and some are better cooked. Personally I am not crazy about foods like raw broccoli since they require so much chewing. I don't get peopel who refuse to eat salad though. Lettuce and foods that have a lot of water feel great going down and they are so good for you!

I do not like raw oysters but I like sushi. I love salad but it has to be with romaine or other dark green because lettuce has no flavor and the least nutritional value. I like raw peaches, apples and most fruits except for banana (even though I can eat plantain) and some type of melon. I prefer to put raw foods in the juicer and steam my vegatables because boiling takes the nutrition out if I intend to not juice them.

Hi, I am vegetarian and so I can eat only fruits and vegetables raw. I can eat carrot, tomato, radish, cucumber, onion, green peas etc. raw. We prepare different types of salads added with curd with these vegetables. They taste very delicious and also good for our health.

Basically i am not fond of eating any raw food. But if decorated with spices then i do prefer to eat mixed veg salad. My wife likes to eat raw food only as far as possible. While cutting vegetables she use to eat some raw pieces, peels of green peas, cucumber, tomato, onion, beetroot, cabbage.
