i think nurses are the backbone of the medical field, doctors may go to school longer and be more specialized but if there werent nurses doctors would not be able to function in any kind of organized fashion, i think nurses do the biggest part of the work load and also get the messiest and hardest jobs but they do it anyways because they care about people and want to help them. i am thinking about going back to school for nursing actually (as soon as i can pay off some more of my debts from university student loans. I keep hearing in ontario how we need so many more nurses but ive never yet seen the goverment trying to subsidize the cost for people like me who have top grades from high school and university but dont happen to be able to foot the whole bill, if anyone does have any suggestions could you let me know good discussion that you started i think a lot of people have opinions about nurses

I agree, they really make the health care system run. They not only carry out the dr.'s order but they also provide all the caring to patients, from adjusting their beds to getting them food and water to providing comfort and caring.
There's a nursing shortage in the U.S. and elsewhere; there need to be more incentives to get people to go into the profession and to make the workplace more hospitable for them.

Nurses alternately known in our country as SISTER. They are passionate, kindered, hospitable and taking care of patients duly. Work hard, pass sleepless night. Doctors sometime do not behave with them well this is painful (ofcourse there are exception of above in somewhere!). It is a nobel profession for humanity too.

Nurses are the back bone medical profession.They are like mothers who wait on the patient.It is a very noble profession.The three persons we adore are Teacher,Mother and Father.In medical field we adore is the nurse. Nurses do a great seviceto the society.We can never belittle them.

Nursing is among the noblest of professions. And yet, it is one that is oft abused and disrespected. I believe the service to the society nurses provide is on par with that provided by teachers.
