Torion- I practice meditation daily to help me focus or learn to focus in the rest of my life. There are times that I'm having a conversation and I'll drift for a moment and then come back. I also try to stay in the moment, something worth practicing for anyone. Meaning, I try (very hard) not to be doing two things at once, though I am guilty of it. However, the old saying "Practice makes perfect". Namaste-Anora

Ok. do you think that it is possible for a person to focus on two things at once? I mean focused on one thing with another thought active in you mind. that may sound like a Oxy. but it can happen what do you think?

I think it's possible to have "two thoughts", but to say that one can devote equal amounts of time to both and be in the moment is debatable. I think it would be like mountain climbing. You're focused on the task at hand, and you suddenly start worrying about your relationship or something at work, your mind then is not 100% on the task at hand, and you forget to tie off or some such that causes you to fall. Actually, my mind doesn't wander nearly as much as it did when I was a child and a young adult. I have trouble with forgetting things more than anything.
