Dear Friends,
Please forgive me for the last few weeks!! As many of you know, I've been having computer problems. I've tried to respond to some of your posts but at the same time I was trying to fix this computer. Many of you gave me good advice last time I posted, thank you. My last problem was my email. I was trying to send email unsuccessfuly. I finally had to switch to Windows Messenger Live. With that I had to lose all the notifications of your posts.
So you see, I am starting over. Does anyone have Windows Vista? This must be what they mean by problems with it. Anybody else have these problems? I hope not. xoxoxoxo to you all for your patience.

I'm having computer troubles too leenie, mine is in the shop ready to be picked up. It had a terrible virus of some sort on it and had to be completly reformated. Dumb dumb hubby of mine, didn't ask how much is owed and I'm freaking a bit wondering how much it's going to cost us. Oh well. We'll find out tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm using one of our old old computers for now. I'm constantly being reminded to update this and update that but yet, this computer won't let me update a thing. I can't wait to get my computer back!! lol Good luck on yours!! Trust me, it's understandable!!

Good grief.... they had to reformat it. Everything I had on here is gone. Whew! lol Now I have to go find everything and redownload a bunch of stuff.... I'll be busy for a good long time!! lol Believe it or not, it only cost $90.! That's it! You could've knocked me over with a feather! lol $90. ..... wow.

Hi Cats,
I'm always sorry to hear one of my pals is having computer problems. I think I too had a hidden virus. I pray I dug it out. I'm afraid I'll just have to wait and see. My hubby has a laptop I could use but that would be tough getting it away from him. I'll keep my fingers crossed on the surprise cost of yours. Let me kno0w how it comes out.xoxoxo

Wow, that's great! I'm going to start backing up the stuff I need to keep on discs just in case it comes to that. Hubby did some already but I have a bunch of pictures and things.
Right now everytime I respond to someone elses discussion or to my responders I have to keep signing in. I don't get that. It's quite annoying.

Could anyone hold any of this against you? No! I haven't had those problems, but everyone I know who has Vista wants to throw it out because the same things happen to them!

Quit putting yourself down, dear. You make sense, and you don't let anyone down. Yes, I do have a really hard time of it with all my health problems complicating my financial problems, but it's friends like you who bring me through. I really appreciate your friendship.

How's it going for you? I just can't get over all the stuff you have to go through. My heart and thoughts are always with you. Not to mention my prayers.

Oh Daffy, I miss you. Being Louie without my daffy is not any fun at all. How's the gang? No more trouble I presume. I have over a hundred email alerts in my email. I think I'm just going to sign on online instead of going in from my email. Do you use your alerts? xoxoxo

There YOU are leenie! I was wondering where you disappeared to! I'm sooo sorry you were having computer problems. And, noooo, you didn't let any of us down! I hate it when my computer acts up... I feel like I'm walking arouund with one of my arms cut off!

No, I do not have Windows Vista. I have XP. What kind of problems were you having besides e-mail? Well, anyway, I am very happy that you are back!

You poor thing leenie! Well, I'll be hoping & praying that you do not have any more problems dear. For me that would be so very frustrating as my computer is practically glued to my hip all day. LoL! I guess I should probably try to cut my ties a little, huh?! I'm way too attached to the thing! :)

I'm not even sure I could explain all the problems I'm having. I just deal with them one at a time. I just hope it doesn't crash like my last one. This one is only about a year old. My old one was an xp I believe. Never had these kind of problems. I'll be in touch.

Girl, I have been wondering where you have been. I knew about the computer problems but I had no idea they were Still going on! It's good to see you are still among the living!
While I am very much a novice about computers and couldn't help you...except maybe I could if you want to crash your computer...I'm really good at doing that! I have heard a lot of negative things about Vista from the Pro's so I can imagine what would happen to a novice like myself if I got my hands on it!
Well it's still good to see you around a little and hope your computer and it's problems get solved very soon as I for one miss you very much!

I can't believe I'm still dealing with it but I get some Mylot in before the frustration sets in. I turned off most of my notifications because everytime I try to respond to someones post, I have to sign in. What a hassle. So now I just sign in from the internet site.xoxoxo

It is really unbelievable it is so long! I know you must be pulling your hair out with it! Nothing worse than a computer that doesn't work or a car that doesn't work...they both make me bang my head against anything hard that I can find...(usually my Hubby's hard head)!!! :D (now that really wasn't very nice was it)??
And are you still having that terrible e-mail problem you had too? Where you were sending 150 e-mails instead of one??? What a nightmare that must/must have been!
Well I am just glad when I can hear from you at all and since I know your problems I understand you get around when you can!!

Personally I am so Glad that I have my reg. Computer with XP on it. I have a laptop with Vista on it, and HATE it. It is not as bad as ME was, but it will never compare to XP. I have heard there is even a Newer version coming out this yr. and I am interested to see if it is better than Vista. But having Computer problems is no Fun. I have had my share over time for sure.

I sure hope the new version of vista has all the kinks worked out. Personally, I think they should replace all of these with the new version. This computer is barely a year old. Thanks for the best wishes. I hope I can get on with mylotting now.

don't worry about that...We will understand. I had that problem also with out old pc....so far, I can work straight now but since it's nice outside, It makes me divide my time of my walking and cleaning in the yard![/i]

I hope you are up and running now, I have windo vista but I don't know anything about computer workings as my husband see to what ever it is to see to, I just use it. Lets hope you won;t have anymore problems now.

Hi Tam,
I used to let my hubby fix it when something went wrong but it got to be a constant problem and he got fed up too. So that's when I started trying to find ways to deal with it on my own, with help once in a while. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that I solved the problems. xoxoxo

Hey leenie! You haven't let anyone down! Don't worry! Everyone
has computer problems! I have been without my usual AOL stuff
which is how I sign on to the internet for a few days myself!
It messed up my whole computer! So it's not your fault! We
all have computer problems from time to time! I don't know
how to fix stuff either. I had to wait until my computer guy
did something since he is the one that set up the computer
to have everything to through AOL in the first place and I
still don't know what he did!

Never mind, i do not like Vista, they say it has some conflict with some process. So for mow i use windows. I think it is not the time to use vista, so i advide you to change to windows.

It's so nice to hear from you. My hubby is better at it than I am also but he's lost a lot of his patience with it too. He says he wants me to learn about it. Sounds like a cop out to me. I do want to know more though. He still helps me out when I start screaming!! xoxoxo

Not to worry. yes I have heard bad things about vista but I run windows XP and what a gong show this morning. I tried four times to start a post and four times my screen just goes poof and I loose all my work. What's up with that? Patience is definitely a much needed thing in this household alright. lol Good luck myLotting.

Computer are the connection to the world and anyone who has never used one, I feel so bad for them. But they can take you to the edge of madness. I can't begin to describe the things this program has done. I hope at this point I can stay in the game.xoxoxo

I do have windows vista and I have never had so many computer problems. When I got this laptop just over a year ago I tried to find one with windows xp but no luck. I think when the new windows comes out that microsoft should let us have free upgrades to those of us forced to have vista.

I couldn't agree with you more. I don't think I've had it a year yet but close. All these problems started about 2 months ago. I added a few programs and so far so good. Knock on wood. I listed them above. I couple I had to pay for but If it works it's worth it. Good luck my friend. Keep me posted.xoxoxo

Hey Jill,
If I don't have it all worked out, I'll just have to keep working on it. Can't afford another one. This computer business is not teaching much patience. I think I've lost that precious asset that is so hard to come by. Well, now I guess I need to start working on that patience thing again.

Well, you were missed leenie and I'm glad you've got your computer problems more or less worked out. I remember that my stepson had a lot of problems with Vista when it first came out and he had it on his laptop. I bought this laptop several months ago and I believe that I'm running an upgraded version of Vista (if there's any such thing 
) which I haven't had any problems with. Good luck with your computer and I hope it stops giving you a hard time.

I actually have heard several people mention the upgraded version of Vista. I never had any real problems till recently. I guess it's just a matter of time. I'm sure the upgrade was to correct my kind of problems. I really hope you don't have any problems.

I have windows vista but I don't ever have any problems with it. It's good to hear you are finally getting to the bottum of it. Must be very frustating for you.
