Hi All!! I bought myself a laptop on February 6th and the power cord burnt out on me in less than 3 weeks! I called in to the company and they will send me a new one but, I have to have a credit or debit card. They said it is covered in the warranty and that all I will pay is shipping. Then they tell me there will be a hold on the amount of the cord itself. I understand this but, do you think they might try to charge me for the cord anyway? Thanks all for your thoughts! Kat

i hope they will not do that because they will not cheat the customers by playing such tricks but i am not able to understand why did they ask you to pay for shipping even shipping is free they even don't hold the money for the cord i suggest you to check it out once again.

I thought shipping would have been covered in the warranty also. They say they hold the amount of the cord until they receive the old one back. I think they will just try to find a way out of the warranty on it so that I have to pay for the whole thing anyway. Ty, Kat ;)

Yes indeed these aspires do have wifi since I am using wifi on mine. Your wifi button (to turn it on or off) is on the front of your laptop you will see the headphone jack and mic jack battery light and such by your speakers. The button next to the left speaker (opposite side of the DVD burner) its a slider button.
