how to discipline children at a young age

my sister has a hard time disciplining her five year old son, whenever she asks him to do something like brush his teeth, he will ask why, if she explains, he will still ask why so she gets irritated. so please help, how to discipline children at a young age like to help in chores or in caring for younger siblings. thank you

..I am also a parent just starting a family.. I may not have enough experience in disciplining a child but I could suggest you to read books and articles regarding parenting.. This is a way for me of learning.. According to what I've read, its just natural for children to be naughty at times.. but parents should determine the weakness of the child so that the child can be handled through that weakness.. Discover also the love language of the child.. Try not getting angry, instead talk to the child nicely and expand patience.. If talking to the child nicely will not be effective, try to be authoritative also.. If the child needs to be punished, then do it.. However, the child always have the right to know why he or she was punished so that she or he will not repeat the mistake again..
