Do you wish there was still the trading system?

I'm not sure that I'm calling it by the right name, but what I'm trying to say is basially, you would go to a store, and make an agreement with the store owner. Like if I wanted new windows for my house, I'd have to earn those windows from the store. Or something like that. I don't even know if that system ever existed, but it'd be nice if it did.

It's called a Barter System and we have it in a minor form here in Florida. It happens mostly with the cattle ranchers. If you need something from someone you offer something that you have in return. My husband and I have used this system while preparing our store for it's grand opening. We ended up with a huge grill, tables and four coolers and all it took was an oil change on someone's Harley. I love the barter system!

I would love if that system was around here. I think I'd do it to put new carpeting, windows and new paint. That would be a big price tag though, so I don't think that would wash to well.

I think bartering is slowly becoming more common as the economy frightens people into not spending money. If you have something to trade, just ask, you might be surprised at who is willing to work a trade with you!
