Pipe versus Cigarettes

My husband and I bought our first pipes last year at the Renn Festival up here in Minnesota. It's a beautiful Viking pipe, which for a husband that is part Norweigian is suiting! I then bought him a month later a replica of Gandalf's pipe from Lord of the Rings, suiting to his spiritual beliefs. We spent all summer and early fall enjoying our nights on the patio with our pipes, and a lovely blend of pipe tobacco called "Summit". During the winter it seemed a bit difficult to enjoy, due to the cold weather, a pipe so we switched to smoking cigarettes. Currently we smoke a brand called Natural Spirits. They lighter then Winstons and have no additives, just pure tobacco. When I was in Arizona I used to buy pure tobacco from the Reservation and roll my own because then I knew what was going into them. I have to say that I enjoy both, but truly prefer the pipe. Cigarettes are truly mindless in that you don't have to think about what you are doing. Pipes force you to be in the moment because of the nature of how they are smoked. What do you prefer?
