What is the meaning of TN on people's username?

Saw two of my friends' username (TNwoman and JeninTN) and they both have TN. What is the meaning of TN? Hometown like Tennessee? Gender like Transexual? Any ideas?

to apologize to them both! It's pretty obvious to everyone
else that the TN stands for Tennessee! All you had to do is
look at their profiles!

Opal i think you should be the one to apologize to me. I seriously don't know what tn means and you took it maliciously. Did you check my profile? Did you know that i'm from the Philippines and don't know much about states in America? I think you should be more sensitive. Of all the respondents, ONLY you took it negatively. I think you really must say sorry to me. I would apologize to these ladies and i'm sorry but i tried my best to make it less offensive.

Modstar, if it meant transexual, TS would have been better. :-D I'm sure you were just kidding about it, though. I think TNwoman was also graceful enough when she explained that to you. I didn't sense that she was offended big-time. And you sounded apologetic. So case closed.

the TN in my screen name around here at Mylot just means that i picked that abbreviation because that i live in the beautiful State of Tennessee. and no i am certainly not a transexual! so tell us all around here at Mylot what your screen name should mean? modstar? so what in the world does that mean? lol ? so i guess that JeninTN also lives in tennessee and she also picked that as well to put on her screen name around here at Mylot. and it doesn't have anything to do with my hometown here in Tennessee where that i live either. well i hope that i have described to you in this discussion what that the TN part of my screen name around here at Mylot happens to mean.
