Have you ever found yourself regretting giving the best response mark when you see another comment that totally the answer you've been searching for? I haven't really regretted any because it takes for me a long time before I do decide who to give the best mark with. I don't decide on it based on the person (whoever he/she is), I always base it to how the comment struck me. If it gave me that certain WOW and the comment is just awe-strikingly great, then that's the time I give the best mark. How about you?

I have not really ever regretted giving the best mark because it usually takes me three months or so to give a best response. So usually all the responses are already given. I then go through and choose the best one.

Hello laydee! I have once regretted giving someone a best response and that's the time I was just a newbie here. I even gave best response to my sister eventhough she has the shortest answer on my discussion. But now, I learned my lesson and it took me months to give best response. I will really make it sure that the person I will give the best response with really deserves it. One of my basis of giving a best response to the responder is that we should have a long interaction in that discussion.

I am like you and it takes considerable time for me to decide for the best response. I have not regretted after awarding the best response because I select the best response, after following few of my own yardsticks and my parameters for selecting the best response come out good.

Can you give me some of your yardsticks and parameters for selecting the best responses?

Oh! Sure! I see the following: (i) Whether the reply is to the point and touches the core of the discussion or not; (ii) How beautifully the respondent has expressed himself/herself; (iii) The quality of language used by him/her. (iv) How effectively the respondent comes for counter-comments.

No regrets ,since I would prefer to assign a BR only to the very best among the various responses.

Hello dear laydee. It is the same with me when I read one of the responses that struck me so deeply. Then the best response usually goes to the responder without a second thought. So far, I have never regretted giving someone the best response mark. Every one of those given the best response deserves it. Happy mylotting, dear friend.
