Do you still iron the clothes you only wear at home?

Like do you even bother to iron your torn shirts or you wear them right away? I don't iron them. I'm more at home when they're crumpled. How about you?

Hi modstar, the household chores I hate most is ironing clothes, so I will never like to iron all the clothes that usually I would put on at home and I only would iron those clothes which I normally wear for outing or going to work. Yeah, I like cotton t-shirt and short pants and these types of clothes always would get wrinkle after washing. So I would like to flatten them before putting on the line under the sun. This really works and very often the clothes would look very much nicer after the stretching. After washing and sun-dry I keep them hang the t-shirt and put the pants in the wardrobe. I put on them straight away after having both the morning and evening showers. I don’t iron them as they still look quite decent with only some crumples which are not so visible on them. Happy posting and have a nice day.

I do not iron the stuff I wear at home. Why should I if I am already comfortable. I think ironing clothes is just something you do for business or social purposes. The only reason I would iron my clothes at home if I'm going to be in the house would be to impress myself from boredom. LOL.

if you will gonna ask my dad for sure he will answer you yes hehe :D he's very good and "patient" in ironing our clothes then..hehe yes it was then when we were kiddos :D at home we just leave clothes and put them directly on our closet (and wear them w/o ironing) unless it is use for work (of course LOL :D) aside from office attires, we iron the clothes of my son and yes even if he just wear those clothes at home :) happy myLotting!:) Godabless!0=)

Yes of course. Even though I don't wear it when I go outdoor, it still deserve to be ironed. We don't know a surprise fried will visit at our house and we can't present ourselves directly. For me, its a matter of cleanliness and cleanliness is next to Godliness.

What is an iron?..Must be one of those antique gadgets that just made for more work....lol...With so many fabrics not needing ironing these days. who uses an iron anyways??..Well I suppose if I had a uniform or something that had to be ironed, I would have to go buy one..... So my answer is NO..I dont iron the clothes that I dont wear at home!!..

I don't even iron the ones I wear outside the house. LOL. Well except blouses that seem a bit off when un-ironed. I'm too lazy to iron clothes. That's the only reason why. I don't seem to mind if I'm wearing crumpled house clothes.

I don't even iron my underwear sometimes because it tends to lose its stretching ability after ironing.

I don't iron my around the house clothes. In fact I am a bit lazy in that I do not iron any of my clothes. My dryer is my iron. If something is a bit wrinkled I just throw it in the dryer for a short time and it comes out nice and wrinkle free. I never even owned an iron till a couple months ago. I bought it for some craft projects that required an iron.

Actually, I only have a very cheap normal dryer. Usually most dryers iron things out. If you take clothes out right away, you shouldn't have to iron anything. But, if your like me you let things sit in it, till you can get to them. If something does end up badly wrinkled most of the time throwing it in the dryer with a damp towel helps the really bad stuff. Otherwise just throwing it in for a minute or two helps. :o)

If you consider me hanging it up in the bathroom while I take a shower ironing it, then I surely do. Or throwing it back in the dryer for a few minutes, then there again.. I surely do! But really nah, I have an iron, and honestly the things not been used but maybe twice, and not by me! I am a stay at home mom, so I get some pretty uhm nasty things on my clothes so I pretty much just wear old t-shirts, or stay in my jammies all day long.

I wear faded, crumpled and scruffy clothes at home. I literally go to work in my tattered pajamas with my laptop prop on a pillow and my cat sitting on my papers and file folders like a paperweight. That's the kind of convenience that you get when you work at home. You do not have to dress up to go to work and you do not have to spend a lot of money for electricity to iron your clothes. LOL

Hello modstar, I iron all the clothes - be it to wear at home or outside. I always do that right after I collected all my dry clothes after washing them. If I have no time, I will choose the one that doesn't look too much crumple to wear.

I see some funny and awesome answers for this discussion. Here, let me contribute too. I do iron the clothes I wear at home, because sometimes just to top up gas or doing small errands like washing the bike, I would just use the clothes that I'm wearing at that moment which means my home clothes. And those distances are pretty close to my home and I don't see the need to change into something else. So if my shirts and pants look crumpled, it'll be the center of attention because my neighborhood area is pretty populated.

hello modstar no i do not iron any articles of clothing here at my house. what that i do is i dry everything, then as they clothes that are in the dryer gets dry, i immediately hang them up on a clothes hanger and they are wrinkle free and properly taken care of as well. i have a clothes organizer downstairs that is nearby the washer and the dryer and it comes in handy with putting lots of clean clothes on. and the clothes organizer has two end parts that you can hang items like bras and undies on. lol my Mom has an antique clothes organizer that is wood, that she has had since that i was a little girl. and she still irons everything that her and my Dad and my youngest brother wears everyday. she even irons her pillowcases and her sheets. lol she is good and fast at the ironing as well. she keeps her ironing board set up all of the time in the dining room of her house with her iron on it that she has also had for years, it is a wonder that the iron stills works. take care and have a beautiful evening.
