If the SMS is nice and from the people who I like. I will keep them all forever As my cellphone doesn't have any problems to store many SMS. On the other hand, if the SMS is not important or from the one who I don't like, I will just delete it right away.

Some days back i had 1000+ messages in my inbox. I don't delete messages regularly unless if i think someone should not read it. Few days back i thought of deleting all and did. Have a nice day

Hey I also have 1000+ messages. I'm always thinking about just deleting all of it too, but I can never do it. There are some messages that I want to keep, the ones that are from people I like and the ones that make me smile, but I'm too lazy to go over 1000+ messages to see which ones I can or can't delete.

I only have a basic Nokia my friend so the memory can get filled up quite quickly, so I have to regularly delete messages to make room for others, I do keep a few but most I will delete. It doesn't bother me because I only really use the mobile infrequently or for emergencies.

You have a great memory my friend, sadly that phone was far superior to the one I have now and had more space on it to store photos and I had some wonderful photos on that phone, typical eh, I guess that was part reasoning why I bought such a basic model for my uses now.

I remember you lost a cellphone when you were in the gym. Fortunately the one who picked it up wouldn't find many personal sms from your cellphone.

I do keep my SMS for long time as soon as i have memory to keep it but when the memory is short and message is needed to be deleted than i have to delete it and some times when the message are not interesting i use to delete them. I do keep message as it shows how many friends are there who really misses you and also after how many days they have missed you. It's a very good way of communicating today in India and there are many free sites being developed to send free message to your family and friends.

My inbox holds about 250 SMS as does my sentbox, so I tend to keep the texts until my inbox/sentbox is full and then delete them all. Therefore I tend to delete everything off my phone at least once a week. I don't have a hoarding personality, so I do not keep things just because I think they are nice. They make me smile at the time, but if I kept them and kept reading it over and over again it would just become insincere and meaningless.

Hi there youless. I usually delete all sms that are not from my girlfriend but at times, as you also mentioned i like to keep some of them ( for example the ones i get for Christmas or Easter) for a few weeks, and later delete them). At the moment i am trying to keep only the most interesting messages from my girl but it is getting hard, as i have so many from her that i like that my memory is almost full.

Hi, I have a habit of saving wishes and some good SMS. I will directly move those messages to saved messages. But whenever i see some junk SMS, i will delete it immediately.

nope. normally, after i read the messages being sent to me i will erase it right away. i don't want clutter in my inbox, unless the message is very important.

I do keep SMS that are very good for a longer period of time. Sometimes I get good SMS everyday from some of my good friends. My mobile phone doesn't have the provision of storing lots and lots of SMS. So I keep all the SMS that are precious to me and delete other SMS that are not important to me. I also keep the SMS that are send by the people who I like very much.

I think this is a hard decision to delete some good SMS because of the storage. Perhaps you shall keep these SMS from your blog or something like that.

ha ha ha ha ha... I have this terrible habit of not deleting any messages. I will view it and then close it. And when I run out of memory, I have no choice but to remove them. Then the nightmare begins as I have to sift through months, sometimes even years of messages to get rid of the unwanted messages. Yeah, if the message is a good one, I usually will keep them around a little longer.

I have my blackberry set up so that it deletes messages every 15 days, including emails... If someone sends me a important text message, I'll forward it to my email address & once every 2 - 3 days, I'll download all the emails to my computer so that I have back ups for the important messages... I do go through emails on my computer ever month & delete old ones that aren't importnat anymore...
