I have a question for women over the age of 50!

I need your help if you will. I am married to a wonderful woman and I love her very much but I, like most men I fear, have no clue what to get her on special occasions. What I mean by that is what are some ideas that would be both special, and a surprise. She has a birthday coming up and I would like to surprise her. Now I know all the usual things that men give there wives but I am hoping perhaps this could be different. Her favorite store is Coldwater Creek. Yea! Gives you an idea of what her taste is. While a gift card from there is always a possibility I would like to do something different. Any ideas? By the way you don't have to be over 50, just a woman with great ideas. LOL Thank you for your responses.

I don't know what she likes, but as a birthday gift, esp a senion lady, i personally think perfume would be nice, to show one's glamour and passion and self-confidence. maybe you can ask the shop assistant or a professionalto recommend one scent which best suits her personality and her tastes. Good luck, wish you have a romantic birthday celebration !

Can you dedicate an entire day to her? Breakfast, lunch, special dinner??? You do all the cooking except for the special dinner. Take her out!! Draw her a bubble bath. Tell her you love her many times through out the day. Remind her why she is so special to you. Roses. Jewelry. A limo ride. A carriage ride. A night away from home at a hotel. Make her the focus of your day.

I really like what you have to say here. Great ideas. Perhaps taking her to a larger city overnight would be perfect. So many more things to do there. I really love the carriage ride thing. Now not sure I can find one but I have no doubt she would love it. For me to do the cooking may not be the best idea but perhaps breakfast. LOL Thank you very much for all your suggestions.

Thank you very much for your compliment. I can't say I have been all that considerate for every occasion. There have been times I slipped up. Her birthday is very important to her so I really don't want to mess that up. LOL The reason I ask this question is I find what I think of as acceptable, she may not and I really need ideas from a woman's perspective. We have been married less than a year so I am still learning about these things with her. This is the third marriage for both of us so you would think I would have it down by now but..... Thank you again....very much appreciate your comment.

I cannot top this idea! I would love it and taking your wife to the big city overnight sounds like great fun and would definitely make it a very special day for her. She's one lucky lady because you definitely are a considerate husband. Mine grabs whatever he can at Walmart at the last minute.
