The CEO of the airline says it may start charging flyer's a pound to use the bathroom. He says they are thinking about putting a coin slot on the door. What do you think? Would you still use an airline that charged you to use the bathroom? http://www.clevelandleader.com/node/9165

Hi Bd200789! Oh my, I don't think I will still use an airline that will charge me to use its toilet. I don't think that the additional expenses will be a very welcoming idea. The air fare is already expensive and they still want to charge for other additional services. No way! I hope the other airlines won't do the same. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith

I think personally they are getting too carried away. Can you imagine someone not having the change and can't go? Sure could be a stinky flight. The sad part of it is, if one does it so will another.

Hi BD200789, I would probably still use the airline since I very rarely get up out of my seat let alone go to the bathroom. I do not like to walk about the airplane. I have also heard that they are going to charge you for water, coffee and soda as well. There is even talk about charging you to use the blankets and pillows. It is a shame that it is all coming to this and the next thing you know hotels will be charging you for your blankets and pillows as well.

Sure, $1.00 for Number 1 and $2.00 for Number 2, or just hand them $3.00 bucks and take your time.

charing passengers to use the bathroom? What the heck? Aren't we paying enough already, paying for luggage, paying dearly because we can't bring certain things on the plane because of a couple of terrorists, putting up with things the airlines do to make things unpleasant, and now this? NUTS!

Look I am a senior and when I have to go, I have to go. I mean what happens if I do not have a coin with me? Embarrass everyone on the plane? And I am a cheapskate as well. Then what about mothers with small children? They have to carry diapers, their kids often wait to go until the last moment. I sure hope the rest of the passengers on the plane have clothes pins to put over their noses, but I suppose the airplane will charge for them as well.

I know that the budget airlines charge for baggage and think that is strange. It would be crazy to have to put a coin in a slot to go to the bathroom on the plane. it is a tiny area and I have a toddler who needs his nappy changed. I am less fond of budget airlines than I used to be. When I took my toddler son to Riga I had to pay for one bag and the maximum it could weigh was 15kg and extra for the travel cot. I went on a good quality airline to Cape Town and I could have up to 23kg for me and 10kg for my son. I probably won't go on another budget airline because of their silly policy like charging for visits to the bathroom. In the High Street people can choose which bathroom they want to go to but on a plane there isn't a choice.

I definitely would not patronize any airline that charged for bathroom use. The airlines are trying to attract more passengers with low fares, but then they tack on fees for luggage, meals, etc. If airlines can't afford to provide service without charging for something as simple as a toilet, they either need to raise ticket prices, make cutbacks or go out of business.

The problem with "cheap" airlines is that by the time you have paid for all the extras, like toilets apparently, you might as well have paid more on a better airline. But people don't think that way. They see the price is cheap and go for it. Repenting at their leisure.

This is kind of ridiculous to me. I mean charging us to go to the bathroom....come on!!! I don't think I would use that airline, unless I absolutely had to. This is just insane. Is anything in this world going to be free anymore?

Really, isnt the price we pay for the tickets inclusive all the facilities they should provide to passengers in order to make sure our convenience while we are on board? I guess i will not book a flight to this airline unless they are way much cheap than the others. In that way its reasonable maybe to pay for using the toilet. Happy mylotting!
