What might you ask is chair surfing? Well you take one of those plastic chairs and you sit in it right where the waves are breaking up on the shore and as the tide comes in the waves start getting closer to you. When you first start out the waves are usually just breaking right around your feet and the longer that you sit there they move up to where they are breaking up on to your legs and as the tide comes closer and closer it will actually start to lift the front of your chair and if the waves get too hard it flips your chair and you go tumbling back on to the shore. We have a blast doing this, oh yeah, and the kids love it too!

It sounds like fun. That would be hard to do here on Lake Michigan. We have a few public beaches, and I don't think the lifeguards would allow it.

Who knows they may join ya! We had a lifeguard at Nags Head almost fall off of his 4 wheeler laughing at us!

LOL, that is funny. I don't think they would join us, they have to keep an eye on the children and other people. But they probably would try it when they were off duty.

I thought it sounded great too, and a lot of fun. Maybe on day we can try it, have to get one of those plastic chairs with legs.

I have never tried that before! Actually, I have never even heard of doing that. It sounds like a lot of fun, though! I have never lived near a beach, unfortunately, but whenever I end up visiting a beach the next time, I will definitely want to try chair surfing. Thanks for the idea! Now I am looking forward to the next time I am at a beach!

Once you have chair surfed you will never look at the beach the same again. Such a fun activity, even the bystanders will be laughing!
