When I woke up this morning my mom is talking to our neighbor. This neighbor is like a family to us. She told my mom that one of her daughter's was hospitalized and undergone an operation. The doctor told her daughter that the illness was brought upon by too much eating from fast food chains. Now my mom told us to avoid eating too much from fast food chains since this will never be good for our health. She said that french fries and other foods served there could be unhealthy. According to my mom the oil that is used to deep fry the fries and chicken in the fast food chains are being recycles several times and this may cause cancer. Do you agree with what my mom said? Or don't you think it would really be harmful to the health. please share on your thoughts and this may educate others on the food that they eat. Thanks in advance.

hi kenchip...besides what you've said. anything fried gives you stones. i took a healthy cleansing treatment and you pass the stones. they are sort of green. it's not painful like kidney stones unless a person has an unusually big stone. but there were many that came out. just eating a potato chip will give you some. so of course french fries, onion rings anything fried gives you stones.

That cleansing treatment sounds really good I hope I can have that same treatment so that to cleanse my body and take away the toxins in my body and also to do away with these stones that you have mentioned. Given this i would limit my fried food intake and to start eating healthy to avoid any untoward illness that could be harmful to my health. thanks for sharing.

the treatment i used worked. i saw a lot of stones come out in the toilet. but it's vital to follow instructions or it may not work. and you need to have time off to do it but it's better than being in the hospital. less intrusive to your body and less $$ and is healthy. and FYI my sister couldn't follow thru with this treatment cause the oil made her vomit. Are You Stoned? Pretreatment (some people drink only juice the day before treatment) it's important to evacuate completely before treatment Treatment day no solid foods afternoon of treatment day. Juice only or water until 6:30 pm Stop drinking 30 min before treatment. a few drops of peppermint oil (i didn't have it. it's to help make more tolerable to your taste) 1 Pint cold_pressed olive oil 1/2 Pint fresh squeezed juice 5PM 3/4 cup epsom salts 7pm 3/4 cup epsom salts Drink 1/4 cup oil and 2 TBsp juice (drink slow and easy) lie down on right side. Every 15 min drink the oil & juice then lie down on right side. i took last oil & juice at 8:45 (they suggested to take 8 ornithine capsules but i didn't have any) then lie down on right side and STAY until you must go to the bathroom. some people have results 2-3 am or 10am-11am i didn't have results intil 2pm the nest day. and it's nothing unusual. you just have to go to the bathroom and then have a bm. then you see the stones in the toilet and your work was successful. yay. IN CASE OF NAUSEA use pineapple or V8 juice. in the morning next day 10 AM fruit juice 10:30 fruit 11:30 regular food but keep it light. i knew another woman who did this too and it was successful for her. she does it often. BUT don't repeat this the next day or week. that's too often health wise. i'm sure once a year is plenty. and frankly i've only done this once many years ago. having to lie in bed undisturbed isn't easy. and fitting in 2 days for this treatment isn't easy. but it's better than going to the hospital. a lot people had their gall bladders removed because of stones. yet this process removes them. the only concern is if a person has a stone too big to pass then they'd have to go to the hospital. but that would happen anyway. it's not because of this treatment. it's not easy swallowing the oil every 15 mins for one hour and a half. but the results are worth it. you'll be surprised what is in your body because of a potato chip, and anything fried. wish you success.

PS i didn't do the pretreatment. couldn't cause of work and i came out fine. the main concern is to avoid constipation. but stopping solid foods in the afternoon and drinking only juice and water worked for my just fine.

Hi my friend, I often hear that comment about the french fries and the fried chicken in the fast food that they are using the used oil...and it is harmful to the body. Well, it might be true considering of that used oil..am not so sure if there is a proof to that effect. But anyway, it is better to avoid eating much outside home so that we can save money and our health.. good luck.

Thanks for the response my friend. I would be watchful of what I eat now so that it wouldn't do too much on my health. I believe that health is wealth so we need to take good care of it. Being hospitalized can be very expensive and with the economic crisis that we all have experience we need to be extra careful of it. Happy Mylotting!!!

Yes, I definitely think there's a real link between eating that kind of food as a primary source of nutrition. A friend of our family worked at this place and took all the over-time he could possibly get. For about at least a month he didn't get regular meals and just ate fast foods. Next thing you know, he was in the hospital and terribly ill. The Dr told him all his problems stemmed from him eating all of that greasy fried foods, and foods with high caloric content with no real nutritional value. He wasn't getting the vitamins, minerals and the essentials of a good diet, and his body got so ill that he had to stay on IV's in the hospital for almost a week! I think fast food is ok maybe once a week, or as a treat, but not on an every day basis.

I think too much of anything can be harmful. Anything is good in moderation.

I do believe that eating often at a fast food restaurant is not healthy. We also eat at fast food chains, but it's also better to eat lots of vegetables and fibrous foods and a lot of water so as to maintain our good health, and of course, exercise is very vital in maintaining good health.

Yes, I agree with what your mom said. Not only is the oil recycled, the food retains a large amount of that oil. That's not the only reason to avoid fast food, though. It's high in calories and low on nutrition and made to entice you to eat as much as you possibly can - not a good thing under any circumstances.

yes kenchiprincess, it definitely is... there is no doubt in it that the oil they use is recyclable... infact this oil story cannot be referred to as the only reason for that child getting ill or for any health hazards credited to fast food.... the ingrediants are all super calorie foods... the cheese the mayo the big evil SAUCEs... enhances the ill effects... SAUCES infact contain the most fats that is another reason for obesity... we all really need to look at our dietary habits....

Yes once addicted to fast food, you always like to eat the same stuff, and its very dangerous too for your health, it first increases obesity and with that follow other diseases, Its good to have once in a while once in a month is also too much, but not frequently, these days many show interest towards fast food, I am also one among them, whenever i go to a restaurant , i first order fast food kind of stuff instead of good healthy food. Because of which i put on too much weight, now, its becoming very difficult for me to cut down my calories and become slim, and i have since then decided not to have such foods which are really harmful, as you said, these foods are recycled and you never know which oils people use to make these.

I don't know about the oil causing cancer, it may be true. I do know that eating too much fast food can lead to many health problems including obesity. Fast foods are full of grease and calories. Eating too many calories in a day is not good because your body can only use so many calories. If you put in more calories that your body uses, you gain weight. Being over-weight, or obese can lead to heart problems and diabetes, not to mention problems with your back and moblity due to youe body geing too large. I think that itis okay to eat fast food once in a while, but not all the time. I linit my family to eating it once a week at the very most.

Of course it is harmful to eat out all the time. Just the fats alone are harmful. I can't see the story of what your mom was told to be entirely true. And I can't see fast food causing cancer because of recycled oil, but I am not an expert so I could be wrong.

I agree with your mom ^_~ Most of it is artificial, so there's no nutrients in there anymore. About how they cook, yea, we don't actually see them cooking our food, and maybe you mom is right that the oil has been recycled on and on ^_~ It's not that bad to eat once in a while in a fast food chain, but to eat there almost everyday? It's a NO NO for me even it taste good ^_~ It's just up to you XD

Absolutely, but research it yourself. A really good source for information on fast foods is a book called "Fast Food Nation." It talks about the food and how it is prepared and how it affects the body. Super Size Me is a very well done documentary film/DVD on a man who eats very well and is tested by two separate doctors and monitored as he feeds his body fast food for I think a month. It really is food for thought. Knowledge is power. I do not think the doctor is too far out of line on this one and neither is your mom.
