I know that some of the responses that I get with this discussion might be sorta bashing me. But, Im not complaining, what I am doing is trying to find ways to assist myself. I have ruined my credit, and cant afford to pay a huge down payment in order to get contract service through Verizon. I perfer to use Verizon mainly because of their great service. I have no dropped calls in my area, but did with other carriers. So I am stuck with PrePaid service which is and has been quite expensive. I cant even afford to keep service for the whole month. That is how bad things are with Prepaid, when I go to get a contract they want near $1000 down. that sucks What I am asking, is does anyone know of ways to get free prepaid minutes, cheaper minutes, or maybe a way to get a contract without having a huge down payment? Please no bashing on me ruining my credit.

I have a Tracfone, and it doesn't cost too much. I checked out Verizon prepaid before and found out that you have to pay about $1 a day just to have service. With my Tracfone, I bought the phone and munites, activated the phone and added the time to it. It automaticall gives me at least 30 days service when I add the minutes. Most of them have autmoatic double minutes for the life of the phone which means, if you spend $20 for a 60 minute card, you end up with 120 minutes for $20. When you run out of time, or get low, just add another card. You never have to pay per day. I have used Tracfone for quite a while, and actually, I believe that Verizon provides their service too.

Thank you Lynnemg, I have thougt about switching to Tracfone, I guess if that I find out that verizon does indeed supply service to them, I might just switch. I have tried ATT and TMobile and had problems with both. So, that is why I am on Verizon. I just dont like the daily access fee. Once again thank you!!
