I woke up this morning to the sound of tornado warnings going off all over this area. The sirens was so loud it would wake the dead. It was raining cats and dogs. This was about 7:00-8:00 am. Thank goodness no tornado hit this area. However about 20 to 30 miles from here they did have some damage and houses and cars were involved. Now we have a winter storm warning out. We are forecast to get rain and snow starting late tonight and some tomorrow too. Now we don't get that kind of weather here so if it happens the entire area will be very excited, everything is liable to close and shut down. If we get enough to make a difference I will try to get some photographs.

Hi chevee! Wow! I guess that storm is really wrecking havoc! It is on its way here too! We are supposed to get hit with a significant amount of snow, possibly anywhere from 8-14 inches which for us will be the biggest snowfall this year! Which I really could live without since it was starting to warm up a bit and all the snow had finally disappeared! I don't usually believe anything those weather forcasters say, but since alot of states are being effected like you say yours is maybe we just might get what they predict! Let us know what happens and stay safe!

I lived in South Dakota for a little while, and I definitely DO NOT miss tornados. LOL. I am now back in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. I just came in from feeding the dogs, and it has snowed about an inch. Not too bad. If it stops soon, like it looks to, then it will all be melted by lunch time tomorrow. My kids want a blizzard, but I don't mind if it melts. We live on a farm, and the kids don't have to take care of the animals...good ole MOM does.

That's kids for you. If it is bad enough they will not have to go to school Monday.
